if the spotting is bright red i would see a dr. bright red blood means its active bleeding-could be a miscarriage, or ectopic pregnancy. if its a light brownish color i would mention it to your dr when you see him/her next but i wouldnt consider it an emergency.
some spotting its normal in early pregnancy but if its bright red call your Dr right away.

Spotting is normal throughout pregnancy, in any month. But is especially an early pregnancy sign.
You should only be concerned if bleeding is acompanied by painful cramping.

This question has already been answered but I want you to ignore the first ones - no blood loss is "normal" until you have been to a dr for an examination . I do agree that pain WITH blood is suspicious , I don't agree with ignoring it or calling it "normal".

No blood is normal.
See your doctor.
I worked for an ob/gyn and ANY blood is not a good sign.
It could be anything..........rough sex, UTI.
