My son didnt drop until the day b4 i gave birth so dont worry. As long as u had no problems with ur pregnancy and u give birth to healthy beautiful baby boy everything will be fine. Yes u can talk to ur doc about getting induced. Im sure u wont have to have a c-section unless ur baby is breech. It never hurts to ask. Good luck and congrats on ur baby

I don't think you'll have to worry too much yet about a c-section or being induced at only 38 weeks. Anything between 37-42 weeks is considered a full-term pregnancy. I don't want to make you depressed, but you technically could go 4 more weeks before you would be considered over-due. Your baby will drop when he/she is ready. There isn't anything you can do to make it happen sooner. A due date is just the best estimate based on your last period and the measurements of the baby. I have 4 children, all were born past their due dates (9 days, 11 days, 5 days, and 7 days). I tried a lot of things to go into labor, but it just happened when the baby and my body were ready. I suggest that you rest as well as you can, eat healthy, drink enough water, and walk as much as you are comfortable with.

Walk as much as you can.. walking is supposed to do wonders for that. I took a nice warm relaxing shower which I can tell you really sped things up for me. If the baby drops far enough to where your ready to actually go into labor they can induce you to speed things up, but I dont think they will if the baby dont get far enough down first. The baby may be a bit big too so if walking, and taking nice showers dont help at all then you might not have a choice but to get a c-section.. I know how you feel though because I didnt want one either I was relieved when the shower thing worked. lol. Good Luck. Congrats :)

You do not have to do whatever, the little one will drop earlier than labour. So lengthy because the little one is head down that is all that concerns. My little one is beginning to drop and I'm at 37 weeks, it is sorta painful, however I'm guessing it is rather going to be painful as soon as the little one is thoroughly engaged within the pelvis. You will have to be going for walks alot, the motion and gravity is helping. Good good fortune together with your supply!

Hey,
Many babies won't drop until you are in labour.
try walking gravity will help your baby to "fall" downwards...
Because your baby hasn't dropped doesn't mean you have to have a c-section.
You still have 4weeks before your technically over due.{between 38-42weeks is fullterm} so keep hoping and praying your baby will drop in those 4 weeks...
You doctor will induce you if you get to 42weeks!

Maybe if your dilated any even 1cm to get your membranes stretched...
Worked for me!

Your baby will drop when it is time. Women have been doing this forever, your body will know when its time and what is right.

Your baby will know when its time to drop. Don't rush it unless your Dr is concerned.
