For women with this experience only, the least I want to hear is from the pro-life people, are there any side affects?

I'm asking women who is experienced with this. Prolife people will never understand this, they'll judge you even before you've done the procedure. Like I said, this is a simple medical question, if you know it, you answer, if you don't, don't make nasty comments.

Hey,
If you want to have an abortion thats your choice.
Don't listen to anyone who's giving you a hard time!
Obviously you want the best for you and this baby...{or who ever you are asking for}
I have never had an abortion{I know you asked for women who ahve only but I thought I would give an encouraging side} but I know some side effects are, infection, infertility, hemorage after the procedure, cervix to become weak meaning it may not close proper again{means you proably wont be abel to carry a child}...

If you feel you can't go through with an Abortion have you thought of Adoption?
Giving a family a child they have longed for for years but never been able to have?
Personally I think I could have an abortion but I couldn't put my child up for adotion.
Whatever your choice I admire it!
You must be a strong person for even considering anything other than carrying on with a baby in your life...

Did you know having an abortion is 10 times safer than giving birth?

These are WORSE CASE side effects, abortions are usually safe. Like any procedure or medication, there can be very serious side effects.

If you are 8 weeks or less you can take the pill, side effects are: heavy bleeding, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and heavy cramping.
If you are past 8 weeks, you must have a D&C abortion the side effects can be:Injury to the uterine lining or cervix.
A hole in the wall of the uterus (uterine perforation, rare), which most commonly happens during cervical dilation. Bleeding is usually minimal, and no repair is necessary. If bleeding is a concern, a laparoscopy (a procedure that uses a lighted viewing instrument) can be used to see whether it has stopped.
Infection. Bacteria can enter the uterus during the procedure and cause an infection. This is more likely if an untreated disease, such as a sexually transmitted disease (STD), is present before the procedure. Antibiotics given during and after the D&E procedure will reduce this risk.
Moderate to severe bleeding (hemorrhage), which is sometimes caused by:
Injury to the uterine lining or cervix.
Uterine perforation.
Uterine rupture. On rare occasion, an upper uterine incision scar tears open when a medication is used to induce contractions. (The lower uterus, where most cesarean scars are, is thicker and not at risk for rupture.)
Tissue remaining in the uterus (retained products of conception). This usually causes recurring cramping abdominal pain and bleeding within a week of the procedure. However, prolonged bleeding sometimes does not develop until several weeks later.

I artwork as a volunteer in a counseling midsection the place women people who've had abortions come for therapeutic. some women human beings come 10-15 years as quickly as they have had an abortion. there is not any way that a woman whose had a bodily secure abortion may be secure from emotional harm or maybe trauma in her life down the line. The destructive emotional element of abortion is by no potential reported. this is a crying shame.

hey...i had an abortion. im not sure of other types...but i had the usual type...where u go to the place and get it done that day. the entire process takes about 5 mins. you have cramping right before they do it from the pill that they make you take and if this is your first i would suggest getting the sedation they have. it doesnt put you to sleep completely...but it makes you more relaxed and so you dont feel anything. then afterwards you have some cramping and feel a little dizzy from the sedation...but goes away in an hour. i heard this one is the safest....planned parenthood or womens services near you would be the best places. afterwards you get your period a few days after...and then have on and off bleeding for close to a month...but after that everything is ok. you can get preg. again in the future, i am now. so good luck with everything!!! (its not as horrible of an experience as ppl make it seem)

There could be many side effects. I've never had one, but from my understanding this is what I've come up with.

Depending on where it is done, and how it is done, and by who it is done, there could be internal damage done to your body, causing you to be unable to have children in the future.

In my opinion the safest way would be to not abort, this way you keep your body and the baby safe and healthy.

If you still insist you aren't ready to become a parent, you can always give the baby up for adoption. Give someone who is less fortunate a chance to raise a child as their own.

I have a friend who is 25 and unable to have children, I am now pregnant with my second. It is heartbreaking to see her with my son and know how bad she is hurting inside because she cant carry a child of her own.

Please just think about it. Hope it helps

Honestly, I don't think any of them are very safe because abortion clinics are run like mills, and the doctors are often times uncaring. If you want to do this, my best suggestion to you is to have "surgical" abortion and pay the extra money to have the twilight sedation. You probably won't remember it or feel any pain. I don't think the pills are a good choice because you have to go home and lay there in pain for hours, although I have never used those pills. Also, be prepared for the mandatory counseling beforehand. It can realy take a toll on you emotionally. Good luck, I know you are probably really stressed right now.

Well if you do abortion then for the rest of your life you will know that you killed something. Its not the babies fault for being there. Unless there is a medical problem them dont do it. I am not trying to be mean or anything, if u wont to go ahead and do that then go ahead but there are other choices, you can have the baby and give it to a woman who cant have a baby or just raise it, it will be fun

There was a film out at Cannes this year on the dangers and horrors of illegal abortions with untrained medical professionals. It also won an award there. If you're not writing this for a personal question, but more research, medical or otherwise, might be a good source.

The side affects would probably be the same as if you had a miscarriage if it is early on.

The biggest side affects seem to be mental and not physical. Very few people say they are glad they had an abortion after a long period of time.

Yes, there are side affects from any of the procedures. My oldest ended up sterile from an infection caught too late.
