Has anyone ever had an ultrasound tech tell them that their baby's head was big for their age?

Had ultrasound at 20 wks; the ultrasound tech/doctor said that the head was big, and said he thought the baby was 9 days older than original gestational age. Curious for insight. Thanks.

Ultrasounds are accurate to within two weeks, or 14 days.
Since it was only a nine day difference, don't worry about it at all. They will not change your due date unless your U/S has a two week difference.
Also, people sometimes concieve at different days in their cycle, so that can also account for size difference.

Hi I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and they said my babys head was bigger than it was suposed to be. They really dont know the exact day the baby is due. They just pretty much guess by the growth of the baby. My daughters head eventually evened out and Im sure that will happen with yours. The head always looks too big. Congrats on the baby.

Yes, My daughter was measuring about 2 weeks older than gestational age. She just had a big head and now at nine months old she still has a big head. She is completely normal and perfectly adorable. I just have to buy slightly bigger hats for her. Your baby will be fine.

well not really by the head but the tech has said that the baby measures 6 days different (older) than the due date indicates if it is no more than a two week gap they usually won't change the date ie I'm 35.5 weeks and baby measures 36.4 weeks .............congrats !!

with any luck my little Mia replaced into head down at 33 weeks and then at 36 she grew to become breech so as that replaced into tricky to handle. yet they might turn around slightly so do no longer panic. fortunate for me she's so small she replaced into waiting to coach returned and we are waiting now. yet basically reason they are head down does no longer propose the toddlers dropped, you will experience a large type of rigidity down there and the urge to pee is like various 5 minutes.
