If I have just started an employer 4 weeks ago and I am 6weeks pregnant how much maternity pay will I get? will it just be £108.50 per week if so how do mums continue paying their bills and rent?
I certainly can not live off just £434.00 per month. Please can someone let me know if I've got this all wrong.

Well my period dudate is getting closer and closer and I'm scared that it might not come!!! can psychosomatic really cause all of this. How can the brain tell what my body to do without being fed information? I'm getting cramps but it's not the same as beforelike when I PMS. My breasts aren't that sensitive. It was until a few days ago, and comes and go.

P.S I didn't miss my period last month, it was a quick period though. I'm worried it miht not come this month.

I had a baby 15 months ago and my periods have been anywhere from the beginning to the end of the month and i have also had a few months in there were i had 2 periods in one month.My last period was February 15, 2007 to february 20. But now it is late in March and i havent had my period yet. Could i be pregnant or is my period just still irregular?

I went to th edoc today and she said she saw a gest. sac and yolk sac through a vaginal ultrasound, bu tno fetal pole yet. i have to go back next wed. but i had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in jan. and im worried about another. i miscarried in jan. and a clear small sac came out empty. i asked the doc today if that meant there was no baby and if there was no baby this time and i had nothing to worry about. is she wrong?

I failed my one hour test late last week. My doctors office called last week and told me that I needed to come in sometime this week. So I am going tomorrow. But they never told me anything about restricting carbs/sugars before I take the test. They just said that I needed to fast for at least 8 hours. I have been reading online about a 3 day diet that you were supposed to do. Has anyone else not done this and had good results with the 3 hour test? When I went in for my 1 hour test they never told me about restricting carbs either and my blood sugar level was at 145. They said that anything over 140 needed to be further tested. Should I be concered about this?

i am 6 weeks pregnant and i have a 4 month old...i know i'm crazy. I was on birth control so it wasnt like i wasnt being responsible. The father is so set on abortion and thats it..he doesnt want to hear anything else. He sais we didnt get together to have a baby and that he doesnt want anymore children. Im not a big fan on abortion at all.. i have seen the pics and I cannot do it. I told him this but he keeps insisting that i can just stop thinking abot it somuch. what else am i supposed to do not think about it? I think I want to just stop talking to him all together..I know this is his decision too, but I have to through he don't. Am I wrong to feel this way?

Ok im 37weeks pregnant for the past 2nights ive been having contractions that are so painful.......well the doctor said not to come until contractons are regular and are 2-3minutes apart............well the first night they lasted for about 2hours, and I had diariah(sp) well last night they lasted from 4am until now and my stools are still soft, but i was throwing up, there pretty barable right now....and not moving much but my stomach is very tight, i dont know how im ganna handle this does anyone know whats going on or what i can do to relive this for right now???
-also feel like i constantly need to use the restroom
-and the last time i was at the doctor i was 100% effaced 0cm dialated.....

I am reading a book that has absolutely nothing to do with abortion and I should make it clear that I have no intentions of doing this...but I am reading a book and in it a teenage girl finds out that she is pregnant and and takes vitamin C for a week to have a miscarriage. I'm just wondering if this is true or is it something the author just made up?....again, I have NO intentions of doing this..I'm just curious!

I'm 29 weeks. I failed my fasting test, and was at 120. Then at my 1 hour, I was high as well. My midwife said I have gestational diabetes and has sent me to an OB/GYN who specializes in treating gestational diabetes.

I am scheduled to see him tomorrow. What can I expect at the appointment? And how will this affect me during the rest of the pregnancy?

im 34 weeks along and im having so much trouble sleeping at night. ive tried the pillow under the belly but that makes me more uncomfortable. baby just keeps bulging around and it hurts my back so i turn on my back but i cant sleep on my back and i find myself getting up every other hour with either her moving or something hurting
any tips?? please!

I am just turned 6 months pregnant. My stomach is gigantic! Yesterday my hubby and I were working on the house and I was so exhausted after only a couple hours! I couldn't believe it! This is my second pregnancy, and I feel so much more tired and big this time around...how are others faring?

a good friend of my moms just became a grandma, her son is 21 and the mother is 16 (yea) anyway since this child has been born these two have not really done anything for him, they litterally make his mom do and threaten her by saying if she doesnt she cant see him anymore. (both her son and the mother have behavior problems and have to be on meds) well the baby was born early and weighed a little over 4 lbs then instead of gaining he lost and ended up in the hospital, where neither of the parents stayed with him they made his mom once again. baby is 2 months old and they take him to the hospital at least once a week and MAKE them keep him, and they dont stay there. if any of that wasnt upsetting enough to anyone, the grandma isnt much better, they dont have a crib for him so he usually sleeps in his car seat, two nights ago she actually told my mom she put him in a laundry basket to sleep, they dont clean they have cat and dog poop all over the house, its not sanitary, what to do????

any informtation would be appreicate as I have just got my amnio results back and was informed that genetically the child, a girl, has mosaicism with one normal line and oen abnormal. And that this might be indicitive of Turners syndrom. My appointment with the genitic counslor isn't for more than a week... all other children are healthy and this is throwign me for a loop almost 17 weeks along...

I just found out last night that I am pregnant. I have been living with my boyfriend for about a year, and for the most part we are vey happy together. We had a hard time in the begining paying bills and getting everything on the right track and as of now we are doing ok. Mostly due to the fact that I recently about a month ago , recieved a job at my father's work , ( A huge corporation ) I love my job and am glad I will finanly have the moeny we need to live. We still have a couple opf bills that the catching up on and we also need a car, ( I am car pooling with my dad) We can pay rent and do have an extrra bedroom.

But I know my father will be FURIOUS!!!! Am I am afraid I will embarass him at work, ( he is high managment ) and am afraid that it will not look good that his 21 unwed daughter is pregnant. I think he will probably have a heart attack, and was thinking of abortion, BUT IM SCARED.
Also I just started this job and don't have insurance yet
