That's perfectly fine. In fact, I have a cup of coffee every morning and a caffeinated coke in the afternoon. The horror! I'm such a bad mom already! :)
Seriously though, there has been no study done that conclusively proves harmful side effects of caffeine on a fetus. As long as you're not drinking 6 cups of coffee a day, you're fine.
And if you want to be super super careful (and deprive yourself of everything good!), stay away from juice as well. It has a lot of unwanted sugar and could lead to gestational diabetes...

Actually, when you start to have migrains during the pregnancy, your dr. may tell to to go ahead and try having a soda along with the medication that they prescribe or with tylenol...and the balance of the caffeine along with the tension relief that tylenol gives, will equal themselves out and come back to the state of the pregnany that you are most comfortable in, your own utopia, if you will.

Yes... I hate the fact that people tell you that all caffeine is bad. That's awesome that you cut it out....but don't freak about drinking a caffeine free or even caffeinated soda..... :)

I don't believe a soda every so often will hurt you or the baby. But I do recall hearing something about not drinking or eating diet stuff while you are pregnant. I believe that the sugar substitute in these products are no good for the baby. Double check on that!

In general I would advise staying away from any kind of soda - some studies suggest that artificial sweetners are bad for the fetus too - but anything in moderation will be fine. I had a regular soda once in a while.
