now since last week, i ve been havin really itchy skin, allergies on my face, light cramps on my stomach, back pain, nausea no appetite, headache... wow thats quite a list.. i am wondering if am pregnant, but i dont want to a pregnancy test until my periods which is due in four days.. but am getting very restless.. could some one tell me if these are pregnancy symptoms ?

I had my first ultrasound last week at 12 weeks and they also drew blood for the screening. I got a call today from the midwife who said my test came back positive for Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 13 or 18. She said I have a 1 and 14 chance of my baby having it. I'm only 27 and have done everything right. No one in either of our families has any bit or retardation or genetic problems. Why is this happening and is it a sure thing? Has anyone else had this test and had normal babies? I have to have further testing to see for sure but I need a little reassurance now. Help!

I will be 38 weeks wednesday, and today for the past few hours I have had really bad back pain, right around my hips to my tailbone. I took some tylenol, and it isn't even touching it. Does anyone have any idea how to relieve this?

what would the chances be of me being pregnant, i had sex February 1st, used a condom, and it was 2 days before my period ended?(it was my first and only time)

the next cycle i had was lighter and shorter than my normal cycle(march 3)...well since that day i had been paranoid of pregnancy, i felt guilty and realize i wasnt ready, well all month i worried and worried, so i was told my stress probably caused that, also i took a urine test at the docs and it came out negative the before i got that light and short period..

well now my next cycle is due to come around and ever since about 2 weeks ago ive been getting lower back pain and pain on my left lower abdomen and sometimes on my right side, pressure on my stomach, and urinating alot, i dont know what to do can it be my nerves still going or what, im just so worried of becoming pregnant thats why i stopped having sex after that one time, i just hope it wasnt too late

My son is 18 and swears he is in love with this girl. No the baby is not his, because now the real father is being to step in and start trouble, which I knew he would. The girl is a very sweet girl, but my son could have anybody. Why this one. He met her when she was five months pregnant. Help.

Okay Im 32 weeks pregnant and I didnt have a clue when my last period was. I found out I was pregnant in January, the doctor said my uterus was really high so I was about 5 months and she said my due date was May 12th, then she had me go get an ultrasound. When I did go get one the lady said my due date was May 16, which means my last menstrual was August 9th but I really dont remeber having one on August 9th. So is the machine right or wrong?

Ok...so i ended up falling yesterday. I tripped and fell right on my stomach. I rushed to the ER and they said baby was fine...but i started having contractions. They were VERY painful and moved to my back. They started me on fluids to try to stop them and it didn't work. I saw 2 different doctors...the woman i saw said i was definetly having contractions but that they weren't dialating me. But she didn't want to send me home until they stopped because if i was contracting it wasn't a good thing. The male doctor i saw came in later and said my cervix hadn't changed so he didn't think they were really contractions so..i could go home. Ummmm.....they DEFINETLY weren't just little twinges of pain. I have never been in more pain than i was last night and today. I am still having the contractions now and the backpain. He said the backpain was just from being pregnant..although it just started last night.


Im just confused.....should i listen to the doctor or call back tonight or...?? help!

I just found out from my doctor last week that I have Gestational diabetes. I went to a dietation to be put on a special diet, but people keep telling me that I am suppose to be taking my blood sugar. My doctor said nothing about this. Does anybody know anything about this? I am so confused.

my friend might be pregnant, she is only 18 and we are both in college. she is freaking out and it has been somewhere around 4-6 weeks. i have offered to take her to get a home pregnancy test but she hasnt decided if she wants to get one yet. i dont want to push her but i dont know what else to do

my lmp was 2/26/07 and i used opk which said i got a surge around cd13. now, i have been getting very very faint positive pregnancy tests since thursday. (today is monday) i miscarried a few months ago and i am so scared....i feel pretty pregnant, my breasts dont hurt that much, there is no sign of blood at all.....is this normal to have very very light colored lines and have a healthy baby?

In the beginning of my pregnancy I went through some horrible morning sickness and lost 10 lbs because of vomiting so much...After about 20 weeks I was fine and gained my weight and appetite back. I am due exactly a month from today and noticed the nausea has returned, only this time there is no vomiting. I just get nauseated with food and am hungry but feel sick around food..Is this normal to start happening again ?

My dr told me to take only tylonol and I have already taken it about 2 hrs ago, it has not even touched this headache, I have a call in to my OB Nurse but so far they have not called back yet, can anyone relate or have any suggetions, I tooke a shower thismorning to try to calm it but it didnt work. Thanks in advance!

Okay last night me and my baby father was talking on the phone and in the middle of our conversation he says when the born is the baby will stay with him for three out of the week. Now me as mother i do not feel like i should have to go over his and see my own child. we are not married. and i told him this. (i shouldnt have to go over his and see my own child). and he gets mad. now this has done nothing for me at all he calls me selfish and threathen me verbally. I am 30 weeks pregnant he hasnt help me with anything thats has to do with the baby. he says the baby doesnt need anything untill he comes home but, i know as a women that a baby needs more then just one outfit and some booties. he dont think abot dental appt. doctors.appt. and etc. all he thinks about is getting jiont custody and having the baby live with him.so he told me he will se me in court i love my son and i want what is best for him. am i wrong for not wantin our son three days with him?

i am in the process of miscarrying and i fouund out i miscarried at 9 wks and the baby measured almost 7wks and i was wanting to know what to expect and i passing naturally and how long it would take to pass and how much will i bleed and what will i expect during this process so i wont be surprised and will i know if its the baby how big will it be and what will it look like. thd oc told me but i wanted to know your experiences. She's 17 turning 18 in 5 months and she's been staying with her boyfriend because her mom told her that she wouldn't want anything to do with her (because she was pregnate) and if she kept the baby she wouldnt be there for her cause she already raised 6 kids herself
her boyfriend is younger than her and isnt ready to be a parent niether is she from my point of view
her mother started talking to her little by little and was talking to her and telling her all kinds of things like her boyfriend dosnt really love her (like he says he dose) and that he's just going to run around on her while shes pregnate and that he's young and stupid and is just thinking about sex and all kinds of mean things.
they've been together for over a year and were friends (before date-ing) for about 3 or 4 months...wen i asked she said that he was her 1st and she said that she gave it up just this past December of '06
and ended up getting pregnate

Hi everyone, I am 5'7 and pre pregnancy, I was already putting on a couple extra pounds (working out ceased to spend time with my other half) - I was around 155 lbs. I just weighed myself, and have been weighing in at arounf 162-163, and I'm 167 now!!!!!! I have never gained this much, when I was 155... I had never gained that much!

Is this pretty normal weight gain? the nurses or doctor have not said anything to me about it... But I am afraid I will gain 50 or 60 lbs like a lot of the women I know and take years to lose it!

I have been working out very lightly just to keep my self a little bit more energetic....

anyone have any advice? am I just overreacting...?
