well long story short jan. i did stuff and well the thing is it was on the 24th..on the 30th got my period feb didnt get it took about two test said no!and march i got it on the 5th and befor i took a test on the second said no but am still really scared it wasnt planned i was drunk i dont even remember having sex am sixteen and well i just noticed all these symthomps

I am 39 weeks pregnant. I went to my OBGYN last Tuesday and he informed me that I was 2 cm dilated (but he never told me if I was enfaced or not) and that things were moving along great and that he probually wouldn't see me by my next appointment (which is tomorrow) !
2 days after ( Thursday ) I lost my mucus plug.
I have been getting really bad lower pressure pains in my lower abdomen ( like near my pubic bone ) ! I get them really bad when I stand up! I do also get them when I'm sitting, but I feel it more standing. The pains I get aren't on going. They come and go. Now when I get the pains my stomach tightens right up. I tried to time them but there so far apart and irregular. Now my husband also noticed today that my stomach looks lower (so i guess i might be dropping) !
Could this be just the baby getting ready? Would labour be approaching soon? Would I be in the beginging stages of labour?

None of the jeans I try on at stores seem to be comfortable. The low rise feels like the pants are slipping down and the full panel has a seem that cuts across the belly that I know in my third trimester is going to be unbearable when I sit down. I'm looking for the old traditional full panel pants. I just bought a pair of jeans yesterday that were "full panel" but I had to buy them in a size that is way too big so that the seam across the belly doesn't cut in to my stomach. Any ideas? I don't want to only wear knit pants!

i work at an office and sit at my desk for the most part of the day. i elevate my feet and walk around but at the end of the day when i get home my feet and legs feel like they are going to explode ! i wonder about toxemia and what to watch for since i have had several health issues since i became pregnant. any suggestions?

i am almost 14 weeks pregnant and starting a new job tomorrow. no one has any idea im pregnant and i am thinking about waiting a month to tell anyone. it is a retail job so there is no toxic chemicals or anything like that that i have to be worried about for the babys sake. my stomach is sticking out pretty much so i am worried someone may ask and i will ahve to tell. thanks!

Hi I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been having real trouble with my sugars.
I am ill after eating from becoming hyper then dropping low quickly.
My midwife wants me on Insulin because I get high readings after 1 hour but then normal within 2 hours which Insulin will they give me?
I am baffled and not clued up at all on this. Thanks so much.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant now and I had a miscarriage before. I know it might be my last chance to have another baby, because my husband wanted only one child, and this pregnancy happened by chance.
I'm taking a very long flight home to see a doctor(16 hours) in 2 days and I've been feeling some mild pain in my left ovary. I don't have a doctor now because I don't have an insurance here.
Do you think I'm going to miscarry again? is this pain normal? travelling and having a 3 year-old to take care of might increase the chances??

I will be due April 2, 2007. I just had a weekly exam with my doctor today (Mar 26), and he told me that I need to schedule an induction tomorrow (Mar 27)because the baby is big, he thinks it's better to deliver the baby soon than estimated due date due to size of baby. I asked him how big the baby is now, he told me the baby is about 8 lbs. I'm a bit in shock, this is my first baby. I expect at least a week old because most first time babies are over due. I asked him what other options are. He told me that the other option is I can see him next Mon (April 2) which is my due date, if I'm not due, then April 3 I need to schedule for induction. My question is should I go for induction tomorrow or wait until next week (one day after my due date)? I really appreciate your thoughts and advices on this. I'm very nervous and don't know what to decide. Thank you.

and found out later, after the fact that she had lied about her birth control use. While I am pro choice and feel as though abortion should continue to be a legal option for all women everywhere, i am not a supporter of abortion used as birth control. I would have still gone with her to help her with the before and after even if she had told me she had not used birth control. I am however very upset that she lied to me about using birth control, and even more so because now she has said that her boyfriend does not like condoms and neither does she. Should I tell her that I am angry with her for lying to me and that I feel, pro choice or not, that sex is a responsibility and she is horribly shirking her duty as a woman by NOT taking care of her health and safety they way she should, or should i keep my mouth shut and let it go?

Really not interested in the abortion = murder rhetoric so many of you like to spout off about. This question is not about abortion opinions.

Ok here's the deal I am 38 weeks pregnant and I know it is normal to vomit in late pregnancy due to hormones and stuff. The weird part is, is that I wake up every night for the last 3 days and vomit at 3a.m. like clockwork. This is followed by a bowel movement. Has anyone else experienced something like this. It is just weird because I wake up at the same exact time.

I am currently in the process of completing up my doula certification. Part of the requirement to do so is to attend a doula for 3 births. I am planning on offering my services free to be able to gain more experience. I've already worked with some families and done lots of training so I feel comfortable about it, but wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to gain clients. How soon did you start showing with your first pregnancy? I'm starting to get a round, hard little tummy, and according to my ultrasound I'm only 13 1/2 weeks! People who don't know me probably just think I'm chubby, but my friends, family, and I can see I'm getting ROUND, especially from the side. It's kind of an awkward stage for clothes, you know...not quite big enough for maternity tops, but oo big for my normal tops. I'm not having twins, I wasn't really skinny to begin with, and I've actually lost 7 pounds since I got pregnant. I know every pregnancy is different, but I just wondered if anyone else started to show this soon?
