I would suggest walking during your lunch break with comfy shoes. Get up every hour and walk for 5 to 10 minutes.
Drink a lot of water, not juices or sodas.

I am no doctor are anything I if people offer you good advice you should take it . I just recently had a baby and she is 4 mths and this was my diet some people might a diet and pregnant what's wrong with her. It could be the food that you are eating like. Sodas, hamburgers , Sugar eat a lot of Omega 3, folic acid, fruit and vegatables. When You go to the doctor you should follow the details in the booklets that they give. Because it very healthy Take care of your self and the baby. And you will see the diffrences in your child compared other children.

Besides letting your OB/dr know asap and taking short breaks by walking as others recommended, I'd suggest buying some compression socks. You can pick them up most anywhere - I found them at WalMart for about $5 a pair ("Medi-Peds") but they control circulation and help prevent blood clots, in addition to helping relieve swelling problems. Your doctor can let you know if they think they will help, plus which ones you should use (knee high or full length). They were recommended to me in my 8th month, when I started having similar issues, and they have helped quite a bit. Good luck and best to you.

I was 24 weeks when I developed preeclampsia and had a lot of swelling, my daughter was born by emergency csection 5days later and lived for 10 days. Are your hands and/or face swollen? You may want to check with your doctor and let them know and if you have someone that can check you blood pressure get it checked asap. I don't want to scare you but a lot of swelling this early in pregnancy can be an indicator of something serious. Check out www.preeclampsia.org for a list of symptoms to check for. I wish you the best of luck and will keep you in my prayers.

I had the same problem, my doctors suggested that I drink water with lots of lemon in it. After about 2 bottles of water my swelling was completley gone! It was amazing. So now at work (same situation as you) I sit with my feet up (this also helps back pain) and drink water and lemon and it helps keep the swelling down. Good Luck!

Be sure to change position a lot. Also drink lots of water and watch your salt intake. Salt is in everything. I started swelling immediately-I had a boy-. My Dr. said he was always managing to lie on one of my arteries, so I started swelling very early.

I would try to get up and walk around every 10-15 minutes just to get your circulation going. If you think it's a problem talk to your doctor about it.
