Ok...so i ended up falling yesterday. I tripped and fell right on my stomach. I rushed to the ER and they said baby was fine...but i started having contractions. They were VERY painful and moved to my back. They started me on fluids to try to stop them and it didn't work. I saw 2 different doctors...the woman i saw said i was definetly having contractions but that they weren't dialating me. But she didn't want to send me home until they stopped because if i was contracting it wasn't a good thing. The male doctor i saw came in later and said my cervix hadn't changed so he didn't think they were really contractions so..i could go home. Ummmm.....they DEFINETLY weren't just little twinges of pain. I have never been in more pain than i was last night and today. I am still having the contractions now and the backpain. He said the backpain was just from being pregnant..although it just started last night.

Im just confused.....should i listen to the doctor or call back tonight or...?? help!

Call your OBGYN right now! That is my suggestion. The back pain could just be from falling (general pain from the fall), but the contractions are something I would inform your OBGYN (or whoever is delivering your baby and providing your prenatal care) of.

You need to go see your OB and be VERY persistant. I know those army doctors like to brush things off that should not be brushed off. If you're still having contractions, keep track of them, see if they're regular or irregular. And backpain could just be from the fall, could be just being pregnant, or it could be labor. Be persistant, and listen to your instincts. If you have a gut feeling that something isn't right, listen to it and go to an ER.

How far along are you? They could still be braxton-hicks contractions (not sure about the spelling). They can be very painful but don't get you anywhere. The back pain could be from your fall. If your water breaks, obviously go in. If not, I would call back tomorrow or so if they pains don't stop or if you can time them and they get closer together. Good luck!

How far along are you? I think that you need to call your obgyn they are the best to get answers from, some male doctors are um let me say not so nice to women. I have chronic back pain and being pregnant is not the only reason for it. It doesn't just happen over night it starts to hurt as you get bigger and bigger.

My suggestion is to work out 2 professionals interior the closest great city to you: an endocrinologist and a rheumatologist. New ones, for the reason which you have considered a minimum of a sort of so a techniques. medical doctors are human and not infallible, or maybe worse, in the event that they do no longer have faith you they are in a position to make it hell for you. you will possibly desire to locate somebody who is going to artwork with you to work out what's occurring. From observing shows like medical Mysteries, i'm questioning if what you have is an enzyme concern of a few form, or some extraordinary autoimmune reaction they constantly coach. the warm button is which you somewhat % some severe sorting out, including DNA and enzymes and in spite of else. do no longer take no for an answer, and genuinely get new medical doctors because of fact those you have considered so a techniques are not supplying you with what you % - a real diagnosis. Any surgeon that would desire to work out what you have been via who says that the lupus is under administration is a moron, and might properly be reported to the AMA, in my opinion. the actual incontrovertible fact that your sugar is severe each so often, and others no longer, and your heart issues, make me think of that's something interior you it extremely is attacking your organs. i do no longer comprehend if medical Mysteries has a internet site which could be searched, yet while so, you somewhat desire to start surfing via to work out if something rings a bell. It somewhat sounds like that's autoimmune, and a favorable lupus attempt makes me % to enable you comprehend to ask your surgeon to as we communicate positioned you on prednisone or another oral steroid. You strike a twine in me of a woman that I observed on medical Mysteries. i'm sorry that i do no longer keep in mind her call or the diagnosis, yet please look because of fact she saved having all varieties of wierd indicators such as you, and ended up on prednisone for it, which helped her immensely. i individually wish you success.

If you are still having pains you should definitely go in. Don't take any chances. Did you by any chance call your OB? I'm beginning to think the dr.'s where I live are completely incompetant, too. I don't know if it just the pregnancy or if it is true, but I never take chances. When in doubt see a doctor.

Maybe he was saying that it was just an aggravated cervix but they shouldn't hurt that bad. If there was a better hospital around I would try and go there maybe.

you need to call your doctor you normally go to (Your OB) and tell them immediately that this happened and the contractions will not stop. This is nothing to be taken lightly, I hate when doctor's brush stuff off likes its nothing.

Have your regular doctor see you, or go to a different ER!
