the machine is right my dear. The ultrasound can be a few days off but....it measures the baby and everything and tells you how long the baby has been growing and how big it is. So...the machine is unfortunetly right o yet again..haha the machine always wins!

The length and development of a baby viewed via ultrasound at different stages of your pregnancy are the best way of determining the stage of pregnancy you are at; the further along you are the more accurate your estimated date of delivery (EDD) will be. Periods are unreliable and just because you don't remember having a period doesn't mean you didn't ovulate that month. The date of your last monthly period is used in early pregnancy to try to establish a reasonable idea of when you conceived in order to ensure the foetus is developing as it should (for example a scan of a 4 week pregnancy will not show a heartbeat - a scan at 6 weeks will and can prove whether or not a foetus is viable and likely to live and grow). Don't worry about the dates - be guided by what they tell you as a result of your scan. Babies are not all born at 40 weeks in any case, so the date you conceived is immaterial. Good luck....

There is rarely the baby is born on its due date. My daughters due date was DEC.9 and she was born on DEC.7, My sister's baby due date was DEC.7 and her baby was born on DEC. 8....... See what I'm saying... You have a due date so you know about the time your baby is coming. The doctor told me first I was due in Nov. But after the ultra sound it was DEC. I would go by the ultra sound. But yours is so close just choose which ever one you want. Your baby is probably going to be born in MAY. My first child was due on what the doctor said, He was born on his due date and the ultra sound was wrong about 3 days so I can't tell you which will be right or wrong. Hope I could help.

You probably won't have the baby on either of those dates. Probably just in May sometime. They say that if you're a first time mom it may be a couple of weeks later than that. With me, I was 5 days early. When the baby's ready, they're ready.

it's an estimation due to the size of the fetus, uterus, etc.
if I were you I would just say around May 12th it's only 4 days difference
good luck, best wishes, and congrats!

You're worried about a difference of 4 days? You have too much time on your hands. Go do something nice for someone else.
