If I could change one thing from my first pregnancy I wouldn't have read that crap book "What to Expect When You're Expecting," that book should be retitled "101 Ways to Scare a Pregnant Woman."

I would have told the dad "I'm breaking up with you, I can't handle being treated this way any more," instead of "I'm pregnant."

Or I would've told it to him at a hundred other opportunities throughout the pregnancy.

This would have meant that I could have relaxed and focussed on the pregnancy, on enjoying it, instead of worrying what he would say/do/think/feel when I did X/Y/Z. I wouldn't have dealt with the BS that he kept handing me to keep me off-balance, without self-esteem, and afraid to leave him. And he probably would've disappeared, and now instead I have to fight him for custody of our child and have him in my life for the rest of my life (or his), and since I can't prove that he is emotionally abusive I cannot protect my son from him as the courts likely won't even rule for supervised visits. Grrrrrrr.

There, I've vented, thanks!

All that aside, I refuse to live my life focussed on the negatives, on regrets. I can't go back and change things, so there's no point in thinking about it (too much). I didn't say what I wish I'd said, so I have to deal with my current situation and make the best of it.
