First off, I'm very sorry to hear that you are miscarrying. I, too, had a miscarriage. I don't know how far along I was tho; only that it was very early in the pregnancy. My miscarriage began at my first ob/gyn appt. I had to go to the bathroom and when I did and wiped, it was all blood--it wouldn't stop. Gross I know, but I felt like a stuck pig. My ob/gyn had me come into the room and she did an internal and then told me I was miscarrying and that she was sorry. I had to go for blood work every other day until some pregnancy hormone was out of my body. That took about 2 weeks, for which I bled for most of. If after that time the hormone was not out of my body it meant that I hadn't had a full miscarriage and I would have to go in for a D&C (they dilate your uterus and then scrape it to get all foreign bodies out). Luckily, my body got rid of the baby on its own and I didn't need to have one, a D&C that is. As far as how big the baby is, I really don't think you would be able to physically "see" the baby. 7 weeks is only a month and a half and its probably only the size of a grain of rice. Do not stress yourself out more by trying to see what the baby looked like--look at it as there was probably something wrong with the baby and it was natures way of sparing you from 1)losing it at birth or 2)having a severley handicapped child. Good luck in future pregnancies!!

I miscarried at 5 weeks and to me it was like my normal period exept I passed alot of blood clots and had really bad crammps. Doc told me it would be like a heavy period and would probably last 6 or 7 days, that I wouldn't be able to tell what part was the baby cause it was so small at that point. They also told me if I didn't pass it within a week that they would do a D&C. It passed withing that time, they did an ultrasound to check and said everything looked good. It was the worst thing I've ever been through. I'm sorry for your loss.

Well, I miscarried around 11 weeks and my started about 9:00 in the morning and I didn't start passing until about 3:00 I only passed about 3 times, it lasted all day. I had horrible cramps in my stomach, legs, and back. I passed everything in the emergency room so when I was seen and they done a sonogram I had passed everything naturally sometimes like me they gave me something to take for a couple of days to help me pass if anything was left to help prevent from infection. You may need it if your body didn't naturally pass everything. The bleeding lasted about as long as a normal period. When I passed it looked kinda like a little sac, but I couldn't tell what it was. Hope I helped and I'm so sorry to hear that, it was very emotional for me.

For one I know this is hard and I am sorry that you have to go through this. It is going to hurt and can take up to a week for all to clean out. YOU WILL NOT SEE THE BABY UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IT!!! Umm after you stop bleeding 9 times out of 10 the doc will want you to come back to make sure that all has cleared out. If not they will have to do a D and C on you to get the remaining bits out so you do not get an infection. I hope this helps. Just try to relax and do everything that the doc suggests and it will be done sooner rather than later.

That is going to be up to your body really. First I am sorry to hear about your problem. I have been there. They had to help me b/c my body wasn't getting rid of the baby, I was still carrying it. The next day they did a DNC to clean out everything to make sure nothing was left. I bet they will do that too. It's a simple thing. Don't let this bother you. Things like that happen all the time and it's very common to have one. It's something like 1 in 6 woman have them. Talk to your Dr he/she is going to give you a lot of info about what is going to happen and how to handle it Good Luck.

I miscarried at 18 weeks, it started as severe stomach pain, and then I started bleeding...I passed the baby naturally it took about 12 hours for me after the first pain started, but everyone is different....I bleed for about 3 weeks after, but again everyone is different.

I would ask the doctor for a D&C is you're worried about the pain (physcial and emotional) of naturally passing the baby. I miscarried a blighted ovum at 11.5 weeks. My case was different than most people because what I had wasn't dveloping as a child, but rather a mass of tissue. It was quite painful.

yes u will bleed but it will be like a heavy period and the baby should be 0.9 inch to1.2 inches(22 to 30 mm) bout the size of a medium green olive. You prolly will have some bad cramps too. How long nobody really knows how long it will take to pass.

I dont know what stage i miscarried at, because i didnt know i was pregnant. I bled a lot for two weeks and never beld up anything that resembled a human form. All of the tissue was deteriorated

I was 14 weeks. It appears to be large blood clots. For me it was extremely painful - like actual labor, but in hindsite I'd say - the worst period I ever had. It can take a couple of days.
