Pregnancy - March 2007

Over the weekend I was laying on the couch and my husband leaned down to hug me. His one arm was pressing the side of my bump and as he leaned in it hurt. When I told him it hurt, he moved right away but I was worried... could this have hurt the baby or done damage to the placenta or anything? I seemed to have a pain on that side for a bit afterward...perhaps it was just because my uterus is tender or ...maybe it was psychological. I have a Dr. Appt tomorrow and will mention it then but what do you all think....could that have harmed the baby?

im 30 weeks pregnant today and i've been having really sharp pains right above my belly button off and on all day and through the night it will do it to and wake me up...only last like 4 seconds maybe...just wondering if anyone knew what could be going on?

I worked for HBOS and although they had good policies on paper the muppets in line managment didn't implement them. I got turned down for extra training on several occasions and actually got told there was no point in training me becuase I was going away. I had to adjust shifts to fit in with antenatal classes as they made me feel very akward about needing time of for them.

I was signed of with back pain for a few weeks and the constantly phoned me to see when I was coming back.

If I'd had the energy I would have done something about it at the time but instead I just didn't go back!

Pay wise they were good - full pay for the firs 10 weeks then on to stat mat pay.

I'm going through a bit of a paranoia stage in my pregnancy. I am 7 weeks and am feeling a lot of worry related to miscarriage, stillbirth, etc. I'm trying to relax because I know stress isn't good during pregnancy. Any other tips on ensuring or trying to ensure that the pregnancy goes smoothly? Are these worries normal?

I've taken two pregnancy tests and both came out positive. Not to mention I have been horribly nauseous and my breasts ache. I called my doctor but she cannot see me until March 26. I have started taking prenatal vitamins is there anything else I should be doing until I see my doctor?

I will specailize in Prenatal/Reproductive massage therapy. I will also Instruct Lamaze classes and Prenatal yoga. I wanted to be contracted with a birthing center. Do u think it is a good idea. Aplace to be pampered and educated. I will hold special sessions for parent chatting and coffee sessions for moms to chat. This will be a place for women with reproductive problems as well for ex endometrosis. It will help the birthing partners or coaches learn to massage and help relax the woman in labor. Do u have any ideas that may be helpful. These services will be affordable and include packages as well also considering offering a complimentary massage for mothers who have just given birth. Since insurance companys usually don't cover massage these services will be affordable.

If i am 20 weeks pregnant does that mean i am 5 months pregnant or 4? i know you are pregnant for 40 weeks, but i am confused as to what i should say when people ask how far along i am. I have been saying 5 months but when i say i am due in july i feel like i am only 4 months along!

I am 12 wks pregnant and just starting to show a little bit. It seems like my belly doubles in size the later in the day it gets. I am not eating unusually large amounts of food. Is it just bigger throughout the day from eating...before I was preg my belly always would stick out a little bit after eating a meal, I am a thin person and had a flat belly. My belly is sticking out a little bit even when I first wake up...it just seems alot bigger by the afternoon.

I'm just responding to some of the others who answered my question ealier. I supposedly ovulated Feb. 14th, i had the eggwhite fertile fluid that day which we did have intercourse twice, we don't use protection, and he almost always makes a deposit in the bank....if you know what im talking about {Don't want to use vulgar language}. Yesterday i felt awful. I had naseau, and i vomited 3 times. My monthly just went off about 2 days ago but pregnancy test is negative.

Okay, my last period started Jan 6 2007, my cycles vary between 34-36 days apart. I took a pregnancy test on Feb 9th 2007, and it came out positive. Can someone tell me how far along I am, and when conception happened? This whole thing is soo confusing to me. Today is Mar 5. And when can I start to get excited? One of my friends wants to have a baby she has started messing with condoms(not sure how) and not taking bc anymore. 'm 6 months pregnant. I am with the father and we have a good relationship. He has a son from his last relationship, with whom he was married to the mother. Still is. Since they split up, he has not gone to get a legal seperation let alone a divorce, mostly due to financial reasons. I have a daughter from a previous relationship also. I am currently in process of changing her last name (deadbeat dad) to my maden name and told my boyfriend that I am giving the baby my last name as well even though we are together. Being because of the fact of him not even starting the papers for a divorce and him and I are not married. This has been an issue and I told him if he didn't start it at least, that I would not give the baby his last name. I do not see us getting married for quite some time due to this so I want myself and my two children to all share my name. If something were to happen in the future I will be the one raising both kids full time. Should I feel bad about this? or is it logical
