Is waiting on the gallbladder surgery an option? My friend had her baby and then a few days later had her gallbladder removed. She found out she needed to do this in her 5th month. If there is no chance of waiting, the docs will be very careful with what drugs they put into your system and you will have to rely solely on tylenol for pain once your home. Talk to them some more as far as the risk of miscarriage.

Could. Not to mention the drugs they use to put you under. and the pain meds after. I have been given Morphine during my pregnancy. And everything was fine, but still scary.

Having your gallbladder removed is very painfull, Or it was when they removed mine. Is it bad enough it cant wait 17-18 more weeks and just have the baby thru c section- then have it removed. If it can wait I would say wait. If it cant, good luck and I wish you the best of luck.

The Dr's wouldn't put the baby in jeopardy. You are going to be fine. I had my gallbladder removed and I know the pain you must be in so trust me you will be fine and go ahead with the surgery.

Very slim. Why are they doing it while you are pregnant? Usually they will wait until you have the baby. That is what happened with me and a friend of mine. I would make sure it was absolutely necessary to do NOW and not just wait until after the baby is born. Good luck

Unless you have a liver infection, the surgery should be able to wait until after you have had your baby. In the meantime, you will need to eat a very low fat diet! (I had mine out, I understand your pain),

Did you speak to your OB regarding this? This is the first person you should be talking to regarding your concerns. I would make an appt. with him/her to let them know you are concerned so they can put your mind at ease. Good luck.

This is a question that you need to ask your doctor. I am surprized they would do surgery. Get into your doctor ASAP and ask these questions. They will tell you everything you need to know.
