I am 29 weeks and am considering having it done, I just want to see the baby, see what he looks like! But if it is not worth it I don't want to waste the money.

I've seen some 3D ultrasounds that were amazing, others not so much. Mine wasn't all that impressive to me, and I really don't think it was worth the money.

If you're going to have it done, you need to do it soon!! They explained to me that the 3D ultrasound really only works if there's pockets of fluid around the baby. As you get further along the baby takes up more room and there's less extra space. Also, they can end up being in one position and not moving which is great if it's an ideal u/s location but sucks if it's not.

Check to see what their guarantee is. The place I went to had a guarantee that you don't pay if you don't get pictures. Other places still make you pay but you can come back again for free.

It is VERY worth it! I had one done at 31 weeks, and it's almost like opening a christmas present early! I got 27 pictures, they put it on a picture cd, and I got to see my beautiful son! It is really worth the money, and I'm not sure where you go, but where I went, they would try until they got it (just incase your baby was shy) but It is really worth the money and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I checked into having it done.. and first of all I was floored by the prices, OMG! and the sessions only last 15-25 minutes and you get pictures.. Lord for 200$ they should rub your feet, kiss butt, and video tape every second.. I am due in three weeks, and I also thought is would be nice to see our son before the big day, and I was bummed at first when my husband said "wow, no that is ridiculous!" But he also said there are some may few suprises in life, and this is the most amazing one you will ever experince! so the choice is yours, but you will see that bundle of joy soon enough!

I was going to have one myself. I wanted to see the baby again. I had my 1 and only ultrasound at 20 weeks.
I have heard it's amazing, but the baby has to be willing also. I'd find a place that does 3-D Ultrasounds and ask them questions. Do they give refunds, can you come back if the baby is sleeping, etc.
I wouldn't say it's a waste of money at all.

I think mine was so great! We got to see him yawning and rubbing his face-- it just made him seem so real! I had one at 28 weeks-- apparently the best time to go-- but I'm going back for another one next week at 34. I just want to see him again!

my wife and I had a 4 d scan with this pregnancy (our 3rd baby) and it was amazing and definately worth the money. We had our scan done at a babybond clinic and they provided a great service.
