Over the weekend I was laying on the couch and my husband leaned down to hug me. His one arm was pressing the side of my bump and as he leaned in it hurt. When I told him it hurt, he moved right away but I was worried... could this have hurt the baby or done damage to the placenta or anything? I seemed to have a pain on that side for a bit afterward...perhaps it was just because my uterus is tender or ...maybe it was psychological. I have a Dr. Appt tomorrow and will mention it then but what do you all think....could that have harmed the baby?

No, more than likely not. My husband had to get used to the fact that I had a belly because he kept running into me all the time. My little guy was born 5 days ago and doing great! Babies are really safe in the womb.

as long as you had no cramping and leaking of fluid i wouldnt worry..in the begining of feb. my lab jumped straight into my stomach and i was 6 months pregnant..and i was scared so i called the ob and they said baby will be fine as long as i wasnt cramping and no loss of fluid..just drink a couple extra glasses of water and i should be fine..and they were right..so dont panic...good luck and congrats..

No. Bumps are extremely resilient. Talk to your Dr about it, like ya plan to.
