I always eat loads and loads and have not been eating mre than usual since being pregnant, so why does the weight come on now but not when I'm not pregnant?
And how am I going to keep the weight on, or is there no way to do so?

since we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby i have been considering the idea of having the baby shower after the baby is born but i remember with my first i was very wierd about a bunch of people being around a brand new baby and i am afraid i will be uncomfortable. has anyone been through this? am i setting myself up for disaster? should i just have a gender neutral shower beforehand instead? how long would you wait after the baby is born to have the shower?

I was one week late for my period, so i did two seperate tests over three days and both had very faint positive lines. But yesterday, i started bleeding, very heavy and painful and today i still have a very heavy period and very painful at times. Were the tests wrong and i wasn't pregnant in the first place. Or was i pregnant, but is it too early to have a miscarriage?

I am 18 years old and 21 weeks pregnant right now, and I am RH-. In 2 weeks I will have to go in to get the RhoGam Injection and I am really scared. I just want to know how it is injected. Is it a shot of fluid, is it a chip or something, etc. I also want to know what the side effects are and anything else you think I should know about it. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate that. Thanks. :)

My housekeeper told me last night her 13-yr old daughter is pregnant. She's already been to the clinic because she tried to give herself an abortion and started bleeding. The clinic said she's too small and not strong enough to have the child, but the free clinic can't do the abortion, as she's too far along (12 wks). My housekeeper, who doensn't even believe in abortions to begin with, asked me to help get the child to a proper abotion clinic. I foolishly did as she asked, and she's got an appt. for Fri.

The guilt is eating me alive. I know they have proper councelors at the clinics, but can anyone here tell me the dangers to the 13-yr old? I mean, she's tiny... she looks more like 11 to me.

Also, the girl has no idea how she got pregnant, which makes me think she was raped... or coerced into something she doesn't understand by an older boy.

Any advice? Should I talk them out of the abortion? My housekeeper is in a state and has been crying most of the day.

I've heard so many people say they are pro-life and think abortion is murder, except in cases of rape or incest. Why is it okay to murder a creation of God when it came about because of rape or incest?

If a woman was raped and subsequently went into a coma and was pregnant...she awoke in the 8th month of pregnancy, is it still okay to abort the baby? Why is an 8th month "murder" not okay, but a 1st month murder "okay" in your eyes?

Unfortunatley, Im not pregnant. Even though i had almost every symptom, my period finally came on. Now im basically on the "it happens when it happens" Thing. Anyways, I know this is a stupid question but no one has ever told me about any of this stuff. I've seen a few posts talking about the different "CD" levels and checking the Basel Temperature and charting and all of that good stuff. Is that supposed to help? Which ones are the good ones to get and where would you get it? Were any of you successful when using it??

I got an ultrasound yesterday and the baby is really active. Just yesterday too for the first time I felt my little boy kick me in the ribs several times. And the only time I can really feel him is when hes pushing up against my bladder, ribs, or somewhere by my right kidney. Is anyone else experiencing this?

My husband and I lost a child at 5 due to holopresencephaly. Her brain did not develop. Although, we were told that it was not a genetic problem we still are anxious to see if this baby is OK. Thank you!

I would love to hear people views on this, if you are Pro choice is there a stage in a pregnancy where you would change to Pro life? for example past 20 weeks? Personally i am Pro choice although i do find it disturbing when a women discovers pregnancy and leaves it to make a decision at a much later stage. Do you think that the Law should only allow women to have terminations up to a certain amount of weeks e.g 12 not 24? many thanks xxxxx

I know, it's another silly pregnancy question. But the guilt is killing me. I had sex a few days ago, but we used a condom and we used it correctly. It didn't break. It didn't slip off and it stayed at the base of his penis the whole time. He didn't take it off anywhere near my vulva, and I checked it for leaks. I couldn't find any. I'm just paranoid. How effective are condoms? Thanks. Only serious answers please.

My wife just found out that she’s pregnant… only about 2-3 weeks along. She recently had a dental x-ray. The x-ray machine was pointed at the side of her face and they covered her with an x-ray shield from her neck to above her thighs (belly was completely covered). Now that she knows she is pregnant, she will avoid any other x-rays, but she is scared that she may have done some damage to the baby. Should she be concerned? Any thoughts?

there is a certain percentage of child deformaties if you have epilepsy and are pregnant. is the risk of deformaties greater as i mature in age. For instance I am 24, will a child be healthier if i am pregnant when i am 25 opposed to when i am 27 or older or does it not even make a difference?
