At first the kicks you notice will be few and far between. In fact, you may feel several movements one day and then none the next. Although your baby is moving and kicking regularly, many of his jerks and jolts aren't yet strong enough for you to feel. But later in the second trimester, those reassuring kicks will become stronger and more regular.
If you're tempted to compare notes with other pregnant women, don't worry if your experience differs from that of your friends. Every baby has his own pattern of activity, and there's no correct one. As long as your baby's usual activity level doesn't change too much, chances are he's doing just fine.
Once you're in your third trimester, some practitioners will recommend that you spend some time each day counting your baby's kicks. There are lots of different ways to do these "kick counts," so ask for specific instructions.

When i was pregnant with my daughter I swear I never felt her moving.. and when they did ultrasounds she was never moving, I really started getting concerned I mean I was 26 weeks pregnant and still never felt her move. My doctor decided to a NST (non stress test) lol and needless to say my sweet emma was a kicking all along and I just didnt know. sometimes they are just faint and you really don't feel them.. Your little one will get stronger every day and before you know it you feel like you have yourself a line backer. But you can always tell your ob/gyn let him decide if he would like you to get a nst or another test. but the the biggest thing is not to worry every baby has their own special pace they work on..
To be honest.. My sweet baby never moved until the end.. and guess what her personality reflects that. shes two months old and is the easiest going baby.. sleeps all night lol 9 hours! and smiles all day. oh the joys of motherhood.
Good Luck!

Some babies are less active than others, and the more you weigh yourself the less sensitive to their movements you may be. I felt my babies move at 12 weeks because i am so tiny... usually it is around the 16 th week before movement is felt. As long as the doctor is saying everything is OK...then don't worry about it. As the baby grows, he/she will become more active and you will feel it more. It is exciting when you can put your hand on your belly and feel him/her kicking, and when your shirt moves from the kicks.

I think I started feeling my baby move around 16 or 17 weeks. I didn't know if was gas or not until I went in for my appointment and the doctor was able to tell me how it felt when he moved. So now I know when he's moving around in there. You just have to know what to look for. Just because you can't feel the baby right now doesn't mean he isn't moving around in there. No worries, ok. You just had an us and everything was fine. Congrats!!!!!!!

Don't worry, you'll start feeling him move more often pretty soon. I only started feeling my baby at 18 weeks, and then only when i was laying down and relaxing. My friend never felt her baby until she was about 22 weeks! It's different for every woman, and for every pregnancy. Good Luck!

You are really lucky to be feeling him kick so early, I am 21 weeks pregnant and I just started to feel my baby kick a week and a half ago. Maybe it's just too early to feel him kick all the time.

Yeah i went through that. Your abby is still a little small to feel every movement. Give it a few more weeks and little by little you will feel the little kicks and punches. Congrats and Good Luck
