The woman will internally sense her baby moving first. The timing of this is very individual but it will usually happen at some stage during the 2nd trimester of the pregnancy (between 12 to 28 weeks). In most cases, some form of awareness is first sensed between 18 to 22 weeks of the pregnancy, but a few women will notice occasional, vague sensations from as early as 12 to 13 weeks, and others will not feel their baby definitely 'kick' until about 23 to 25 weeks. Your partner and others will not be able to sense the baby moving by touching your belly until about 2 to 4 weeks after you do (bearing in mind that this is a general guide and the timing may be longer, especially if the woman is sensing her baby move very early).

Thats not silly at all. When I was about 13 weeks with my second the Doctor told me if I concerntarted really carefully Id be able to feel the baby move....I was fascinated by this as I couldnt believe id be able to feel it that early....alas I spent about the next 24 hours just sitting still.....lol, and I felt it so if its 14 weeks for your 4th I see no reason than to agree what you have been feeling is your baby!! Im now 17 weeks with my third but having gained some extra blub since the other two pregnancies I have only just begun to feel it over the last week...and its not very often yet. Congrats on the baby!!! xxx

I would say so! I'm 16 weeks pregnant with no. 2 and I've already felt it move. I felt no.1 move at 16 weeks too. This may have been because he was 9lb 4oz when he was born though! I think you're more aware with the second as well. Congrats!

I had my children very close together (there's just 11 months between them) and I could feel my second child moving way before 16 weeks - I was told it was because my body had never got back to 'normal' after having my first baby. At number four you probably can feel your baby moving - fabulous feeling isn't it! x

It is true,u can feel your baby earlier now that this is your 4th...this is too my 4th pregnancy and i felt this baby move at 12 weeks...now it was very very tiny little flutters only once every few days or so but as time went by they started to get somewhat more often...i am now 18 1/2 weeks and i feel him/her everyday, they are very little kicks in the lower abdomen where my baby lay at but i can feel them, sometimes they make me jump and usually get them after eating or at night....take it as your baby,,chances are thats what it is =)

good luck..

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms
so most likely u are feeling ur baby move

You feel later babies sooner, mostly because you know what to look for. Also, multiples are felt sooner--I didn't feel my first child until around 20 weeks or so, but this time it's twins, and I felt them for the first time around 11 weeks!!

Congratulations--that's most likely your little one you're feeling!

I felt my infant at 13-14 weeks, so definite it particularly is unquestionably achievable! this is approximately what i grew to become into feeling, an somewhat easy tapping, often while i grew to become into laying flat on my back. they gets better! Congrats :)
