No I am sorry to say that you were probably pregnant. It is very rare to get a false positive and even more rare to get 2 false positives. It is painful too you say, so it is likely that you have miscarried or are miscarrying. I would go and tell your doctor to see what he says. As it is very early (5 weeks) things should be ok, but I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks around 5 weeks ago and they made me have an ultrasound to make sure 'everything had come out on its own' as it could cause infection if it does not. Not to worry you or anything. I am just going on my experience.
It's too early to miscarriage. Did you know that around 50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage before the woman even knows that she is pregnant. Because the bleeding can start around the same time as her period would have so she just thinks its a period. Which is good in one way as you have no knowledge of the loss at all. And around 20% of those pregnancies that are clinically recognised (confirmed at the docs) also end in miscarriage! A pretty depressing thought! Hope you are ok x

I had this same exact thing happen to me when trying for our second child. I was a week or so late, tested and got a faint positive. A couple of days later I started my period. I asked my Dr. about it and was told it was a "chemical pregnancy." Essentially, you had a very early miscarriage. It is actually pretty common. Many women have had them but never knew it!

Chances are if any of the tests were positive that you are having a miscarriage. It is not too early to have a miscarriage either....alot of women have them and not know it cause it happens so early in pregnancy that they just think it is their period. Go to the ER or your doctor to get checked out to make sure things are progressing like they should. At this stage in pregnancy it should pass without any problems or need for D and C and such.

You should probably contact your doctor, though it is VERY common to have a miscarriage this early and never even know--it's frequently just like a bad period. However, it is incredibly uncommon to get a false positive--even a faint one--so there was most likely some HCG in your urine, which does indicate pregnancy. False negatives are common, false positives are not.
Good luck!

It's entirely possible that was a miscarriage. I read that the average American woman will have 2 miscarriages in her lifetime. But most of them, are like your experience - they come very early, and most women don't even suspect their pregnant when it happens.
I'm sorry if it feels a bit tragic for you, but at least you can know that's one out of the way.

How long did it take to get the faint positive lines. If you read the test after 10 mins then it isn't conclusive. If the test is right then you should probably phone your doctor asap. It is very possible that you are having a miscarriage. Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out ok.

If you had faint positive lines, and now you are bleeding I would say it's a miscarriage. Call your doctor, and get an appointment right away.

it wasn't too early to have a miscarriage, but as far as the test you took they could have been wrong you should try a clearblue easy test so you don't have to read lines it just gives you an answer. or better yet go to the doctor.

If you're passing large blood clots or having painful bleeding it's usually a sign that something's wrong. You should make an appointment with your gyno or try to get in at a Planned Parenthood in your area.
I'm very sorry for your pain whatever the outcome my be. Best of luck to you. :)
