Pregnancy - March 2007

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I started feeling fluttering at the end of my 14th week. Now it's getting stronger and stronger and feels like little kicks. I thought I wouldn't feel the baby until about 18-20 weeks, but I'm not really sure since this is my first pregnancy.

The only thing I can think of is that I might be a few weeks further than I thought, since they're still going by my LMP and I wasn't really sure about the date.

Has anyone else felt the baby kick this early?

I have 2 now. I am pregnant with number 3. Everyone keeps asking me how many I am going to have. I keep saying however many God wants me to. 2 doctors told me I couldn't have kids and maybe I'm just wanting to overcompensate for that. I don't know. I love babies! I love it when they get older! I love it all. However, I have talkid to many people who have 3 and they all say they don't want anymore. But I talked to someone else who had 3 (they were all grown up now) and he said they should've had 4 so that there was never an odd man out.

So what do think? How many do have? How many do you want? Why?

If so were you able to complete college and still was able to have a successful life? Can you please tell me about your experience with young motherhood and still having a successful life. Because I am 19 yrs old and pregnant. I know that if I keep the baby I will complete school but I know its going to be hard. My boyfriend promises that he will be by my side the whole way. But I am very scared that my future will not turn out how I always planned. I also do not want to kill or give away my baby. Someone please tell me your experience if you have been in this situation. I work at a resturant and a few of us ladies and one guy are throwing our boss a baby shower. I'm making the invitations, but I don't know who to put on "given by" there's like 5 or 6 of us and I don't want to make anyone angry if I don't put their names. But 5 or 6 is alot of names! What should I put????PLEASE HELP!

this is just out of curosity. i'm going to the doctor today! but i read about all these things and it's just not all clicking. i had a cvs brand test and no where on there did it say to read results before two minutes. kinda weird cause all the others ones i had did. i did read the result before 2 minutes but i was curous on this?

O.k I am now in my 12th week of pregnancy. I will be done my 12th week on Sunday. Everything so far is normal and I have my next ultrasound on the 13th...in 5 days. What are my chances of a miscarraige at this point.

-Ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days showed heart beat

-All blood work normal

-Internal exam normal

-No blood or cramping at all

I know I may sound paranoid but I just want some feedback from all you women who have done this before....I'm just nervous.

I have been divorced for about 9 years, and I have a 21 year old son in college who is now living at home and communting. I've been dating a man for about a year andI just found out that I am 1 month pregnant. I was so shocked when I found out! This relationship is the first serious one since my divorce. I didn't start dating again until about 2 years ago. My son wasn't too thrilled when I started dating again, and he is not thrilled that I am in a "serious" relationship now, so I've kept my boyfriend and my son seperate. They barely know each other, that is why I am so scared of my son's reaction. I know I want to keep it, but it seems impossible with my son, and with my job being so demanding (I'm a lawyer). I really hope that he will take the news well, we have such a close relationship I can't bear for him to be upset with me. Any advice?

I was wondering if you could take x-rays while you are pregnant? I'm currently in Dental Assisting school, and I was wondering if it were safe for me to get pregnant, while I was taking x-rays at school?, or to wait to get pregnant, after my schooling is complete.

I was also wondering that when I actually get hired in a Dental Office, what happens if I do get pregnant, what about the effects of the x-rays then also. Do I just not do x-rays at all, but perform other duties?, and just work up intell I go on maternity leave.

I LOVE chicken ..... LOVE IT! and I used to never like ground beef... the taste just was gross to me...

now, I am almost 16 weeks and for the last couple weeks, I cook chicken and I don't eat it... it's kind of disgusting for some reason... I just give it to the hubby and he eats the rest lol

BUT i have been wanting to eat hamburgers! (which I HATE!)

I havent experienced any crazy cravings or anything but I just think it is nuts that i cant eat my favorite food :(

I have done all you guys have suggested, my problem is that I am at my last rope. 1st my clothes were a problem... during the meeting and I quote "what you are wearing today is fine, but maybe you should watch what not to wear to get ideas to put it together and Dick (the ceo) would prefer to see your hair smooth (not curly)" et hum, 2nd meeting- excessive absenteeism (they were all for doctor appointments- this write up was shredded after I filed a formal grievence with the director of HR who is directly above my boss! most recently- some people have complained that your desktop (computer background) looks gothic and you need to change it.... it was a 3D ultrasound picture of mine.Today... I said good afternoon instead of good morning completely by accident and got chewed a new *** for it. Any one else want to tell me that I am looking for an easy way out? I can't take this and I don't need critisism unless it is constructive! EEOC won't do anything either... I am stuck! due May 22

when did you start maternity leave?I was just curious on how long people stayed on maternity leave, if they took the full time? Also what did you do for childcare afterwards?I plan on working right up until my due date and then going on the leave. But I'm really getting nervous about afterwards, I dont know what I should do about child care? Its so exspensive here in MA

I had a miscarriage about 6 months ago. At that time i was in the last phases of planning my wedding and was totally stressed, which is what I think MAY have caused ( or may have contributed ) me to miscarry. In anycase, I am now 4 1/2 - 5 weeks Prego and am so excited. I cant help think that I may have another miscarriage though. I currently have no pregnancy symptoms at all. What are the chances I may miscarry a second time?

My daughter had to go in the other day with contractions the doctor sent her there from his office at her appointment because of her contractions and he wanted to monitor her. The nurse was doing her job but would not answer questions. then the doctor released her telling her to go home and rest. about 2 hrs after getting home the contractions got more intense and closer together she lives `1 hr from hospital Doctor told her to come back the night shift nurse told her she wasn't having contractions but the doctor told her the next morning she was the nurse shouldn't have told her that. But the nurse was rude to the point of Hateful

DF and I don't have work today so we stayed up til 4 last night just playing cards and just playing around. So yeah we went to bed, and I woke up at 8 o'clock from my clock and I walked downstairs and I had trouble walking and felt a little lightheaded. I figured it come from not enough sleep. Well I went back to bed, then got up again and looked out my door and I stumbled around again, felt a little lightheaded, then about 10 or 15 minutes ago, I got up and I feel worse! I am pretty lightheaded and I stumble everywhere I go, I will walk and accidentally almost fall cuz my balance is off! My balance is off which is what I mean by stumble. What is going on here?! I am still pretty tired also! I am almost 7 weeks pregnant, and I have never experienced this since I been pregnant! I am going to try to eat a little something then lay down, and call my doctor. Thank you!
