I have done all you guys have suggested, my problem is that I am at my last rope. 1st my clothes were a problem... during the meeting and I quote "what you are wearing today is fine, but maybe you should watch what not to wear to get ideas to put it together and Dick (the ceo) would prefer to see your hair smooth (not curly)" et hum, 2nd meeting- excessive absenteeism (they were all for doctor appointments- this write up was shredded after I filed a formal grievence with the director of HR who is directly above my boss! most recently- some people have complained that your desktop (computer background) looks gothic and you need to change it.... it was a 3D ultrasound picture of mine.Today... I said good afternoon instead of good morning completely by accident and got chewed a new *** for it. Any one else want to tell me that I am looking for an easy way out? I can't take this and I don't need critisism unless it is constructive! EEOC won't do anything either... I am stuck! due May 22

WOW! Well i can say i know about that second write up you were talking about.. but the good news is you are almost there. it is almost over. I used to work in a HR department so i can give you these tips just to get by:

- DOCUMENT EVERYTHING SAID BY EVERYONE (and dont leave it at work) Get a little note tablet and keep it in your purse, document the time, date, person, and coversation for your records.

- Im not sure who gave you hair comment or the clothing comment but i would be ready to rip them by the neck and sling them into a wall... It is ok to visualize this as long as you dont act on it *wink*. Inform the person that though you did not ask for their fashion advice, that if they would like to buy you clothing out of their own budget then they are more then welcome too. And as long as your clothing and hair do not violate the company's guidelines or regulations then they have no reason to speak on it nor bring it up in any kind of conversation.

- the second meeting: you did good in what you did in filing with the HR director! *thumbs up*. One other thing is to see if your company qualifies for FMLA, if so, get the form for Short-term Disability for Maternity available here http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/whd/fmla/wh380.pdf .

This is an optional form that may be used to obtain a medical certification from a health care provider. Since you ARE pregnant, you are in a protected class and cannot be discriminated against. Take this form to your OB and have him/her fill it out. This will protect you in any other way from absenses and such because you will have perminate documentation in your PR file. Your employer does not have to know about it until you hand it to the HR manager.

- the Desktop.. this one is iffy. and it sounds like you work with a bunch of sissys! but check your companys guidelines on personal computer use and what is acceptable. (but dont forget to document it) you might have to change it... but if you do, make sure they inforce it all the way through the company. not just you.

- afternoon instead of morning? GEESH! SISSY!

keep your head up and stay strong. remember you are pregnant and we can tend to be a little more.. "happy" then others at times. lol

They sound like a bunch of asses to me! You are entitled to wear your hair curly! You are entitled to have an ultrasound picture for your desktop background! Gothic?? Please! What is the matter with these people?! As far as what you wear-- as long as it is "office appropriate" and covers what it needs to cover, then whatever! I would say look for a new job while you are on maternity leave!
