I had a miscarriage about 6 months ago. At that time i was in the last phases of planning my wedding and was totally stressed, which is what I think MAY have caused ( or may have contributed ) me to miscarry. In anycase, I am now 4 1/2 - 5 weeks Prego and am so excited. I cant help think that I may have another miscarriage though. I currently have no pregnancy symptoms at all. What are the chances I may miscarry a second time?

For some reason (and doctors do not know why) but about 30% of first time pregnancies end in miscarriage. This has no effect on later pregnancies.

I also had a miscarriage, but it was between my first and second. I was having symptoms, so I took a test and it was positive (we had been trying for about 2 years). The next day I miscarried. I just took it that this baby was not meant to be and that it was better to happen that early then much later in the pregnancy.

Keep taking your vitamins, try not to get extremely stressed and if you are tired, rest. You're about 1/2 way there! Once you get to 12 weeks the risk go WAY down. Good luck!

I know that is a scary situation, I miscarried in March of 2006 with my 2nd pregnancy and got pregnant again in June 2006 and am now 39 weeks prego and she is due any day. Every little pain I was so scared until I got to be around 5 months try to relax and take it easy, this pregnancy will probably turn out great! Also I had no morning sickness or even felt very pregnant until I started to show so everything will be fine!

When miscarriage happens in the 1st trimester it is usually the body's way of taking care of a pregnancy that wasn't ok. Like something was not right with the baby. I wouldn't blame yourself. The miscarriage was just nature's way and was not your fault.

Just because you had one miscarriage does not mean you will have another. Just take care of yourself and try not to worry. I had a miscarriage January 14, 2000 and on January 12 ,2001 I had my daughter.

I'm sending good thoughts and best wishes your way.

Your chances are the same as if this was your first pregnancy. Most women who miscarry their 1st are fine the 2nd time. Good Luck

They say that women who have morning sickness were 70% less likely to have a miscarriage, but there are plenty of women who have no symptoms that have healthy births. Just keep in contact with your doctor or midwife, and follow their directions to the letter. Don't put any undue stress on yourself, take it easy, and rest, rest, rest!

I'm not entirely sure what the chances are but I will hope for the best. I'm sorry for your loss and happy for your gain. Good Luck!
