No, we do not provide free abortions. Some Planned Parenthood's around the nation work with a "justice fund" or private donor to secure an abortion for an impoverished woman who wants/needs one but they are not free. Also, no tax dollars go to abortions nor have they since the Hyde Amendment was enacted in, I believe, 1976.

At my Planned Parenthood (as well as all of those attached to our affiliate) both of our counselors are trained and certified to set up open and closed adoptions in the county and state. We also have a resource book with adoption agencies listed and can refer clients to them if that's what they want to do.

More often than not, however, our clients do end up keeping and parenting their children so we also have all the information and paperwork that they need to get onto assistance programs like Medicaid/Medicare, WIC, housing subsidies, head start, etc.

Email me if you have any other questions regarding Planned Parenthood.

I just found this online and hope it helps. I think it varies by state, though, so you might want to give them a call.

Basically it says the cost depends on your income, what week of pregnancy you are in, if you have insurance, and family size. The worse off you are, the more they pay. The planned parenthood site also has a checklist you can look at to see if abortion is really something you would want to do:

And info on adoption:

Not that I know of. I have no income and am in college and they wanted $50 for a pregnancy test. I don't know of anywhere that gives free abortions. But I'm sure if you do some research you may find a place. Goodluck with everything.

No, Planned Parenthood does not kill babies for free, and they have a dismal record when it comes to helping women with adoption. If you would like free assistance with or advice on adoption, please go to a crisis pregnancy center as soon as possible. They can also give you other free, confidential help, including referrals for financial, medical, legal, and housing assistance; free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds; free maternity and baby supplies; pregnancy, parenting, and adoption information; and counseling and emotional support. You can find one in your area by calling 1-800-395-HELP or visiting:

No they don't any they cost around 400 - 500 depending where you live. The only thing free there is the test, condoms, birth control and things like that as long as your under 18 years old.

Many offices provide a "sliding scale" for services based on income. I don't think any of them do them completely for free though.
