I'm 40 weeks and 3 days and today at my doctor's appt. he was really rough and now I'm bleeding, what exactly did he do? Is that stripping the membranes? He moved his fingers back and forth and it hurt REALLY bad. He said that I would be guaranteed to go into labor by the weekend Has anyone else had this happen and go into labor?

if i am infact pregnant which i'm awaiting blood tests, is it normal to get sharp pains in one breast? it's all in my right breast right now! and it's occasional not even constant just all of a sudden!

I had a question on here a few days ago that I thought had been resolved....but maybe not. I recently had a condom break, but my partner and I went and got Plan-B and she took the pills as directed. That was about 6 days ago. At the time she was just at the end of her most recent period. Now she says she is on her period again, and says that both of them seem to be normal. What does this mean, and what should we do next?

I am in a confused state, I am 32 yrs old..
I had my periods as usual at the end of 30 day cycle on Jan 24th 2007, i am not trying for preganancy, so i was expecting my next cycle on or around the same day in Feb, I usualy start a couple of days before the red, regular flow with a kind of brown discharge which is followed by bright red normal flow after 2 or 3 days. This is happening since 4 yrs & in between i had my first baby & now coming to real problem, its 6 weeks & there is no sign of my periods coming at all, the brown discharge had stared as usual & didn't followed by real flow, 4 of my pregnancy home test are failed, including one i did this morning. I had a fever, coldchill & severe mid back ache sometime iaround 8th of feb, doc had given me an
antibiotic one tablet each day for 7 days. My gynec is not ready to take me now & ask me to wait until 20th mar, by then i complete my 8 weeks, My periods as i remember it never ever delayed like this never like this before.,

My sister in law just had her period a few weeks ago but she is feeling sick to her stomach all the time and she is peeing all the time. Obviously she needs to take a test to be sure. She had a period with her last pregnancy so how likely is this to happen again?

Hello. I am on birth control pills and I am thinking about getting the depo shot. I have heard that it makes some women infertile and that it takes them years to have a baby. Is this true? I want protection, but I want to be able to have a child when I want one. What is your opinion?

i just found out that i was pregnant yesterday.. but barely..i had vaginal bleeding that was really heavy then light,then really heavy...now its light.. the hormone levels we way below normal..the ultrasound showed that there was no baby present..but i keep thinking i so early how can they see that on an ultrasound...they told me i had a miscarriage.. i was expecting to bleed more regular if so...

Well, me and my boyfriend want a kid im 20 hes 26. We have been trying for about 3 months now with no luck yet. Trust me when I say we are not lacking in the bedroom... or anywhere else. Since the sex is so amazing each and every time I dont understand how we could be doing anything wrong. If anyone thinks they can help me out please leave a comment. i am 35w1d , 6 days ago i started to have painful braxton hicks and i end up in the hospital monitoring the baby moves and contractions, the monitor showed irregular contractions which was little bit with high intensity..Well the pain continued since that time although i had a bed rest for 3 days..So i wonder if my body is getting ready to labor? And should i expect the active labor soon..i have 5 weeks left before my due...would this pain continue for the coming 5 weeks?

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant. I Have been having irritable contractions for about 2.5 weeks. The Doctor now hospital can't stop them and they were not making me diallate so I was sent home twice from the hospital. They told me to come back in when they got worse. Well today I have lower dull constant back pain and my contractions are a little worse...they hurt (MILDLY) instead of just being uncomfortable like they were. But the reason i am really asking this question is because I CAN BARELY WALK. When I walk I have this SEVERE pain in my vaginal area as if a knife is pushing down. This seems to make my back pain and contractions a little worse also. Is this a sign that i may be dialating or ephasing? PLEASE HELP! i dont want to go back to the hospital and be pumped full of drugs again just to be released!

im having horrible horrible pressure in my bottom, ive been having it since last night, should i go over to Labor and delivery or should i just wait it out. it hurts so bad to the point i cant sit down. i dont want to go all the way over there for them to just send me home ... im -1 station, 50 % effaced and 1 1/2 cm dialted but that was on tuesday. i just dont know how much longer i can deal with this pressure.

does anyone else get terrible gas pains since becoming pregnant? I am almost thirteen weeks and i get these terrible pains everyday. i am 100% sure it is only gas. i guess i just want to know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or not...

I've read how (and have been told) that all the OBGYNS reccommend sleeping on your left side during pregnancy (because your liver is on the right side) .. and not to sleep on your back (because of that vein) .. but is there any side-effects from sleeping on your right side? I know that it says there is better blood flow and oxygen when sleeping on the left side .. BUT does sleeping on the right side cause ANY complications? ANY harm to the baby?
I normally sleep on my left side .. but once in a while I get a leg cramp and have to lay on my ride side to fall back asleep. Is that ok??
any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks! :)

I feel like I have "fallen out of love" with my husband. I think a lot of it has to do with him not being as supportive with my pregnancy as I want him to be. Right now I am 28 weeks pregnant, and even though he says he is excited about the baby, he doesn't show it. I feel like he is just pushing me away and that we are becoming just distant friends. Is this normal? If not, any advice as to what I should do?

what can cause such bad sharp pains in the breasts other then pregnancy. i'm awaiting my blood test results but i always tell myself before anything good might happen that i'm not because i don't want to get upset later. but i have sharp pains in my breasts this morning off and on, back pain, bloating, peeing alot, mood swings. could this be hormone imbalance. nausea, food cravings, headaches, gas, constipation.my period hasn't come down in a little less or more then 2 months. december 30th to be exact.

I went to the dr yesterday, I am 36 weeks along. They found out that I was 1.5-2cm dialated but I wasn't effacing at all. I am baffled by this. i thought that you had to be effaced to be dialated, what can I do to aide in this process to advance it.

The doctor has put induction on the table as a possibility when my body is ready for it becuase the baby has no more room to go (this is my 2nd, and after a certian time my uterus would not grow/stretch anymore) anywhere and its been painful.

Any suggestions. Advice?
