try drinking more fluids (and i mean a lot, like at least 64 ounces). the reason is that almost from the moment you get pregnant, the walls of your blood vessels relax, which causes your blood pressure to drop. if you were a healthy, young woman to begin with, your blood pressure probably was fairly low to start. so when you get pregnant, and the vessel walls relax, it doesn't take much for your blood pressure to get low enough to make you dizzy. by drinking extra fluids each day, you will "pump up the volume" which will increase your blood pressure a bit. since the changes you need to make are small anyway, this may be all that is needed to keep you feeling good.

Hey there, as a mom of 4, I can tell you that dizzy spells happen. It could be anything from you need to eat, you need to drink more water to your getting up to fast. I wouldn't worry unless they get worse or you faint, then even if you don't have an apointment til April, still call your doctor. Morning sickness is just a name, I got it morning, noon and night. Nights were the worst for me with my first, then mid-morning to lunch for the others. You can control it a little with like, sprite and saltine crackers, or your doc could give you something if it gets really bad. I just rode it out, since it didn't seem to last but about 8 weeks. As far as the job, if you feel like you can handle it right now, then handle it, but as you get bigger, that's going to be harder to do. I'd give it a little while, and then sit down and talk to the boss if it starts getting hard for you. Go get the book "What to Expect when Your expecting". It's a great book and will answer tons of questions that you have!

During pregnancy, progesterone increases the flow of blood to your baby, resulting in lower blood pressure and reduced blood flow to your brain — giving you that dizzy feeling all over.

Another cause of dizziness during pregnancy is low blood-sugar levels, which can occur if you're not eating regularly (so don't try to run…or even walk…on empty). And looking ahead to later in pregnancy, dizziness in the third trimester can be caused by the pressure the growing uterus places on your major blood vessels, especially when you're lying on your back.

Here's a quick tip: If you feel dizzy or faint, lie down or sit with your head lowered between your knees, take deep breaths, and loosen any tight clothing (like that button on your jeans you struggled to close in the first place). As soon as you feel a little better, get something to eat and drink.

Girl, im dizzy all the time and it just started maybe 4 days ago. My doc says that i should constantly snack on dried fruit and nuts. Lot of protien and drink lots of water. Pregnant women cannot have an empty stomach. Ever notice that if you miss a meal or its been a while since you ate you feel really bad? Keep snacking and have small meals. If you feel like you may pass out please get yourself in a chair or on a bed with your feet up! Some women just are fainters like my sis. When she was pregnant she fainted so much that we all got used to it!

I am almost 8 weeks pregnant. and with my first child Iif I would stand for so long I would get dizzy too but that was after I was big, and my dr said the baby was laying on a blood vessel and it blocked blood from my brain making me dizzy. I get sick at night time too, and I have been real light headed for a couple weeks.

Just because your next appointment with your Dr. isn't until April 5 doesn't mean you can't call him and get advice or see you. It is not good to depend on non-medical people when you and your baby's health are in jeopardy. It probably is a minor thing and a normal pregnancy symptom but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Just because they call it 'morning sickness' doesnt mean it happens in the mornings. You can get sick at anytime. I got it anytime I was hungry.. I would get completely nauseated and then wouldn't want to eat anyway lol ... I think if you call the doctor and tell them that you are having these dizzy spells.. they may get you in sooner than April 5th. It isn't normal to be dizzy.

well...first of all...you NEED to call your doctor. i don`t care when your appointment is...you need to call him/her and ask them what`s up. i didn`t get dizzy spells for awhile...but that mainly means you need to be drinking way MORE water. you need to be drinking more than 64 ounces of water a day. you might not like it...but those dizzy spells that won`t allow you to unwind and close your eyes mean that your body needs the extra water...the water goes to the amniotic sac and fills it up. i can guarantee that if you drink a lot more water, you will feel a lot better. and the doctor will probably test your pee, he should every time...and he`ll tell you if you need to be drinking more water. SO DRINK MORE WATER. if any of the dizzy spells persist, then you really really really need to see your doctor asap. good luck
