Pregnancy - March 2007

[Selected]: All categories Pregnancy & Parenting Pregnancy

I was just wondering, I had sex during the ovulation cycle, and when I was suppose to get my period in March, it was only light, very light spotting for 1 1/2 days. When my menstrual cycles normally are heavy, always have been. I've taken several pregnancy test and they've all come out negative.
HELP! I'm trying to get opinions!

I just found out that my husband and I are expecting our first child. I really want to give my family the big news together and I want to do a musical slide show with pictures of my family when we were growing up, leading up to the announcement of our new member. The only problem is I cannot think of a good song to use. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I had sex on Feburary 26th, today is March 9th and yesterday I began feeling extremely nauseous, and I haven't been able to shake it. I was always under the impression that morning sickness doesn't last too long, although I know it can hit at anytime during the day. I counted it's been 11 days, would it be too early to be feeling pregnancy symptoms? Should I go out and buy a test?

Ok, keep in mind at 17 I have no intention of becoming a mother, but I've noticed there are a lot of women that are advocating for teenage pregnancies. Some women claim that it can be done and be done relatively successful at 16, while other people say its not.

So I was wondering what your opinion was and how old you think is the youngest possible age to be a successful first time mother. Perhaps from experience, or other people's experiences or your own personal opinion.

Thanks.

Personally I think the youngest age for a successful first time mom would be 19. Because you're out of highschool and probably have a job which would make it easier to finance the baby's needs. But that's my opinion. What's yours?

I have been married for 7 months, my husband works and untill one month ago i was a college student. We have one child and one on the way ( I am 9 weeks pregnant)

He now controls all our money and just recently spent 1 thousand dollars in a week on partying and drugs. He says since I dont make the money I dont have any say in anything and sometimes he dosent even come home after work cause he is drinking. He says that the apartment is his and if I dont like it I can leave, and he yells at me everyday to get a job cause i am sucking him dry. I have tried to get a job but it is hard cause I am pregnant, I did manage to get one job but I lost it cause he didnt come home to look after our son he stayed in the city to party.

Has anyone experienced this before? if so do you have any advice?

I just found out Saturday I was PG. I went in for a quantitive HCG blood test on Monday (4 weeks and 3 days). My HCG level was 74. I did a follow up test Wednesday (4 weeks 5 days) and my count was 125. According to my doctor, these numbers are OK but my understanding is the level is suppose to double.

She offered to send me for another HCG test today (5 weeks). I had some light spotting last night and this morning. I took my lab order to the hospital lab since they can provide same day results. This is stressing me out and I did not want to wait until Monday. I just phoned my doctor to follow up and the receptionist (who all along is the middle person for passing me info) indicated the doctor said the recent lab work from the hospital cannot be compared to the previous labs b/c they were done by different LABS!? She did tell me the number was 154.

This is my 3rd pregnancy. The 1st ended in miscarriage at 5 weeks and the 2nd was a blighted ovum discovered at 7.5 weeks.

My husband and I are trying to concieve. Usually I have a normal menstural flow every month. However, for the past two months, I have just spotted for three or four days, and nothing after that. It was very very light, and this is unusual for me. I went to my dr and she told me to wait until the 4th or 5th of this month and take another pregnancy test, but I haven't taken one yet, although I plan to first thing in the morning. Has anyone ever had these symptoms before and been pregnant?? Thanks for any advice!!

So I just repsonded to the question about being 12 and pregnant. OK, I missed the part about the difference between stating she was 12 and 16 minutes earlier.
Anyway, who really cares?
The point is, people got VERY judgmental. And I've known twelve-year old girls, or, usually, friends or cousins of them,
who were RAPED at twelve?
Where is compassion?
Where is the ability to say- hey, I don't know all of the facts here?
I am not even properly Christian, but I feel like there are many people who would say they are, who come out with very nasty things!
Who actually thinks about these things?

I have 2 children (boys) and me and hubby would love a third. We think it would be fun to try for a girl and would like to hear if this worked or didn't work for you out there.
Obviously we would be be delighted with either gender ...health is MOST important.
