I have so much fun with gender tests. You can google gender quizzes and take them. No they are not a reliable predictor of gender, but they are fun to do. So go ahead.

No, it was wrong about mine. Any method you use has a 50% chance of being right, so the odds are pretty good with only 2 options. That is why some people swear by it. Personally, almost every method said I am having a boy and I am having a girl. They are just guesses and they are fun, but there is only one way to know for sure and that is through amniocentesis and actually seeing the baby when it is born.

I tried the chinese test also for my last pregnancy which came back right but was wrong for my first...it was also right for my sister in law and now this pregnancy it says im going to have a girl *hope is right*...I also used the ring on the necklace method and it came back im gonna have a girl *wait and see i guess* sometimes the heartrate it right as it was for both my last pregnancies but if differs for every woman....they are fun to try i must say =)
there is a site i went to the other day where docs gave 5 women the old wives tales and checked to see which ones were right after baby was born...some of them were right for all 5...check it out.,..good luck!!!

I don't believe that method works...the ultrasound worked 100% of the time for ALL 5 of my kids! My doctor has always said that your can tell 70% accurately by the heart rate...165b/m is usually a girl...under 140 is a boy. What is the fetal heart beat averaging? Be forewarned...my first baby's heart rate was always above 160 and it turned out to be a boy! LOL The other 4 were pretty accurate!
Good luck to you!

I have three boys and am pregnant with twin girls and I have tried all those little tricks and old wives tales. ( In fact I asked a question on here to get ideas and I tried just about all the ones they suggested just to see if they really worked) and they were all wrong every single time. But I have heard other people say they were right with them, I think it is all just luck.

None of them really work - they're just wives' tales. And really its just 50/50 odds, so there will be a lot women who seem to conform to it. Even ultrasound isn't 100%. The only procedure that'll tell you for sure the sex of your baby before delivery is amniocentesis.

never seen the chinese one, with both my kids my doctor predicted the gender based on heart rate, and was right both times - first a girl, then a boy. It's supposedly a wive's tale, but she says it's never been wrong in her 12 yrs experience.

Ok, I know it's totally unscientific and everything, but the chinese birth chart was right for me and every single one of my friends! It's crazy!! I wouldn't pick out blue or pink stuff based on it, but it definitely is fun to see how often it's right. I have yet to see someone it is wrong for!
