I'm 34/35 weeks pregnant and am going off of my anti-contraction pill at 36 weeks. We are kind of all expecting me to go into labor shortly after I am off these pills. My plan is to have an active labor at first where I do as much walking around and moving as possible to get things going. How likley will I really do this once I'm in labor. How many of you planned on doing this, but once contractions started, you just wanted to lie in bed. Also, when you get the epidural, you ar pretty much chained to the bed after that right? Do you usually have to have a cathedir (sp?) because you won't be as steady on your legs? I'm absolutely scared of the cathedir because a couple weeks ago (against my doctor's request) a nurse put one in me and put it in wrong and it hurt and I bled. I've been in labor before (at 30 weeks) so I know how the early stages of labor feel, but I'm not sure how I'll actually be when the contractions are more painful.

Has anyone been induced with pitocin, if so how long does it take to work, and how strong are the contractions compared if you didn't have the pitocin?

I've seen a lot a of posts where women say when their doctors stripped thier membranes, it didn't work. With my last child, my doctor massaged my cervix at 3 pm and by 5 am the next morning, I woke up in labor.

I was wondering if anyone else had this done and it worked better than stripping the membranes. (This may help all those mothers out there desperate to go into labor!)

What did you feel like before going to the hospital and finding out you are in real labor? Were you just crampy or unbearable pain. Did you go all day thinking it was fake

I am supposed to start my period on March 15. I have a typical 28-day cycle and last one was Feb 15. I had cramps during my ovulation time, and ive been craving jalapenos like crazy. last night i had the worst headache and went to bed around 8pm. my breasts hurt so bad, even when i walk or wear a bra. ive been more tired than normal in the evening, plus once in the while i have a dull backache and cramping. i have also been peeing a lot more often. i havent been nauseous at all however. i know i have quite a bit of symptoms, but i dont know because of the cramps and no nausea. what do you think? i plan on testing in a few days if everything persists.

Thank you in advance for advice...

some other info: I have had 2 previous miscarriages in the past and didnt have as many symptoms, and when during ovulation or impending menstration, it is usually pretty fair, only slightly hurting breasts sometimes, yet barely hurting, and cramping the day before and days of my period...

The question states it all: Can a woman get pregnant after being fertile?

My friend follows the "My Monthly Cycles" with his girlfriend and records her periods. He said they had unprotected sex 6 days before her next period was due. After 4 months, the "My Monthly Cycles" has been +/- 2 days accurate. She is supposed to have her period today according to the calender, but hasn't even had symptoms of an upcoming periods (cramps, feeling warm, etc). She knew her ovulation and it was dead on with the "My Monthly Cycles" calender, which was 2 weeks ago. Is it possible she's pregnant?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and I have really noisy neighbours, they have been given 8 weeks to find somewhere to go, by the landlord (she owns both places) but since they found out they have been kicked out they have gotten even worse, we are talking lound music screaming throwing bottles beeping car horns at 4 in the morning, all within 4 metres of my bedroom window. I am getting little enou gh sleep as it is, and I want this sorted before the baby comes. Any ideas? I cant just go and talk to em about it, as one of them is incredibly violent, and he scares me.

I'm a Christian, but like most Christians and everyone in general in times like these, I can't help but question, why?
About a week ago, I miscarried after being pregnant for 2.5 months. Before I became a Christian, when I was 18 years old, I had an abortion. I always regretted the abortion and have never really been able to get over it...that is...until I became pregnant recently. I was so excited, I thought God was telling me, "I forgive you, and this is my gift to you." But then I miscarried. The pain was almost unbearable, but nothing compared to the feelings I'm having. It has made me question myself, my faith, and I've also questions some of my close relationships because it seems as though it's meaningless to some, including my husband. I've tried counseling in the past because of my depression from the abortion, but it didn't work. Does anyone out there have anything to offer, in light of my situation?
