Adoption would definitely be worthy. I commend you for realizing that you are too young to become parents right now. There are millions of couples who would make amazing parents but sadly cannot have kids on their own. I'm one of those women. I can have kids but my husband cannot. I'm 22 and he's 27. I have a daughter that was conceived by rape (right before my husband and I met). She's now 4 years old and she is not just my daughter, but she is our daughter. So even though we have a family, we want desperately to have another child and adoption is what we want to do.
If you choose to give your baby up for adoption, you're not only showing that you think responsibly, but that you are acting responsibly also. The child has already been created... the best gift of love you could ever give the child is life. I sincerely hope you consider this. Just know that you are not the only one to go through this journey at such a young age and I hope that does not hinder your decision on what to do.
I wish you the very, very best.

You need to get an abortion right away, and don't tell your boyfriend about it until it's done. If you tell him, he may try to prevent you from getting it, or try to talk you out of it. The fact that he even wants to keep it is a red flag that says that he has no problem throwing away his future and taking you with him. Dump him immediately! If you think your parents will keep you from getting the abortion, don't tell them, either. And, start using birth control religiously!
You could put it up for adoption, but there are so many children in the system already, why would you want to add to the problem? Abortion is the most responsible choice for a girl your age. If you do decide on adoption, arrange it so that they take the baby as soon as it's born, so that you don't get to see or hold it at all. There's less chance of your emotions causing you to get stupid and keep it.
Whatever you do, do not keep it! You're only 16 and too young to be a mother. Give yourself the opportunity to have some kind of future, instead of dooming yourself to poverty and mediocrity. Go to college, get a good job, meet someone who isn't a loser and have a baby then, when you can properly care for it and support it.

Follow your heart. If you don't think you should keep it then it isn't fair to you or the baby to try to "make it work". There are a lot of loving families out there that would love to give your baby a caring home. If you start now you could pick out a family and everything. Chances are you and your boyfriend will grow apart and then what would happen with the baby. The thing is there are so many unknowns. I would follow your heart. I wish you all the best!

My sister was pg at 16. Her b/f had been living with my parents. They got married at 19 then had another baby after they married. Then he cheated on my sister and they divorced. How r your parents with this? Supportive? Is abortion even an option? How far along are you? I wouldn't abort if your more than 8 weeks gestation...it's just cruel...Cruel no matter how you look at it...but worse once the fetus looks like a baby...which is about 8+ weeks. I was a young mother at 19...I had a lot of family support as did my younger sister. We both graduated college and own our own homes. (I own two very nice homes.) Just don't let it get you down no matter what you chose. Your parents could adopt the child and raise the child as your bro/sister. Or you could draw up guardian papers that they have the child til you grad from college or get a full time job. I think it's amirable that your b/f didn't drop you. Good luck to all of you!

Don't have an abortion. It comes along with a hurtfulpain and regret that will take a long long time to heal, i speak from personal experience girl. Speak to your parents, they may be more supportive than you think. Usually after they get over being mad, you can discuss your options with them and decide what is best for you, your boyfriend and your baby. I'd hate to see you at 16 years old have to struggle at such a young age bringing a new life into this world and raise the baby while still raising yourself and growing up, but in the end God has a plan for all of our lives, no matter what we do, it's all in God's hands... Whatever we do was in God's plans long before we were ever brought into this life. :) My best advice is speak to your mom and dad and tell the truth, that's the best start. Don't let anyone decide what to do for you. In the end, it's your body and your emotions and your baby no matter what they tell you, so, Good luck and God Bless you!

You are too young at 16 to be taking care of a baby. Is there anyone in your family (preferably someone older) who might be able to care for this child as their own until you have grown up?
There are other options, such as putting the baby up for adoption, and of course there is always abortion. I personally don't believe the last one is the right thing to do, but it is your choice.
By getting pregnant, you proved that you are still a child yourself. Have you learned a lesson from this? I hope you have, or it will happen again!

Before jumping to concIusions take another test to make sure. Then go see a doctor. NOT ALL TEST ARE TRUE ANSWERS! I had an issue with one that said I was, but different test models and the doctor said other wise. So try a different test type then if you have the same reading then consult a doctor to verify it.
ALSO I am ANTI-ABORTION so I dont believe thats the way out. Get a light job (like fast food or a grocery store cashier) until your doctor says other wise. Tell your bf that if he dont get a job you'll make him pay child support. If he cares enough about you he will do anything. You allowed him to have his way so deal with it. Dont make things complicated.
Babies are so fun, but alot of responsibility comes with that. Your parents will probably object to this, but just tell them, "Yea you hate it now, but when this baby comes out all I'll hear is "Grandbaby, Grandbaby, Grandbaby". Everyone loves grandkids!!
And dont stress it isn't good for the baby or you. Just take things as they go and live on and become a responsible mommy! You'll cry with joy when you see the precious thing that you made. My fiance's mom had him at 16(her junior yr)so if she can do it and finish high school so can you.

Well, if you decide that you do not think you are ready for a baby, the best thing to do is have it and give it up for adoption. There are alot of people out there who can't have children and would love too adopt a baby to take care of and call their own. Also, talk to your parents about it as well. Good luck to you and best wishes!!

Well first off, not to be preachy, but you shouldn't be having sex until you are able to handle the possible consequences. You obviously aren't since you are freaking out. Aborting it will cause you emotional trauma and you shouldn't because killing a baby for you and your boyfriend's mistake is not the responsible thing to do. If you aren't able to handle it then give it up for adoption which is much easier said than done, but there are so many people who can't get pregnant and pray to have someone give their unwanted child up for adoption.

You sound just like me. I'm sixteen and my boyfriend's eighteen, but when I got pregnant I was fifteen and he was seventeen. We definately decided to keep the baby. He joined the army and we got married. I'm nine and a half months pregnant right now, about to have a little girl :) I can't wait. I think you should keep the baby, it's amazing.
