Yes, it happened to me.
I have PCOS which causes a hormonal imbalance. Being on a low dose hormone just didn't work.
The percentage and statistics are for average women who have the high success rates of not becoming pregnant on birth control, but women with atypical hormones or fertility conditions will have different experiences with birth control.

It's not uncommon. Even if you use birth control perfectly, it still has a slight failure rate. Most women use birth control imperfectly and so the failure rate increases. Anywhere from 3-10%, depending on your source, of women who are on the pill in one year will become pregnant. With millions of women on the pill (and other hormonal methods) every year, you have several thousand who become pregnant. This is unfortunate and by no means your fault. It happens to a lot of women who were trying to prevent it. Best of luck!

Not, normal .. but very likely!
I GOT PREGNANT ON THE PILL!
I had been on the pill (ortho-tri-cyclin) for 10 years, non-stop, and was put on an antibiotic for an ear infection .. it completely de-activated my birth control pills! I only took the antibiotic for 3 days, and BOOM! I'm now 23 weeks pregnant with a very active, very healthy baby boy :)
congrats! good luck! God bless!

The only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstance... The average effectiveness for birthcontrol is 95-99% when used properly and regularly...
If you are new to having the specific form of birth control as well it may not have had time to take full effect. Some take up to 2 weeks for full effects.

>Accidents< happen. the pill isnt 100% nothing but not having sex is. The men are stupid, some woman do try to trap there men, but if it got to the point where they feel they can *** in you then they deserve it. So it takes two to make a baby they should remember that one. Do NOT worry its NORMAL, but if your pregnant and dont want it you need to call your doctor you have many options if its not to late in the pregnancy you have lots more.

Totally normal. . . it can be that you were on a low dose pill, or that you missed a day. Plus the only thing that is 100% effective to not get prego, is not having sex. It's normal.

the deal with the birht control pill is that when you skip a day of taking the pill your risk of pregnancy increase as much as 60%. when you are under the deal of a pill it's hard to remember to take it every single day. i recommend that when you and your man want to do your deal tell him to use a condon that will lower your chances of becoming a mom when you don't want. be responsible in the future.

Unfortunately yes. Many pregnancies have resulted while the mom is on the pill. It isn't 100% effective and therefore the chance.. tho supposedly slim.. is there.
