I wanted to ask other pregnant women or mothers when would be the best time to start buying crib, clothes ect? Im 6 months pregnant & Im having a girl. Im due on May 15th. When would be a good time?? Serious answers please. Thanks!

This is my first pregnancy. The doctor doesn't want to see me for another three weeks for my first visit; I am about 6 to 7 weeks along. For a couple of weeks, I had no symptoms at all. The first symptoms I had was when I was expecting my period. They went away. Ever since yesterday, I have been feeling very ill to my stomach. I gag/dry heave at the weirdest smells and thoughts. I'm constipated. I'm extremely emotional when I'm alone. If I'm watching a movie or something, I'll cry at anything.

I guess I'm really worried about cramping. I cramp alot. By alot, I mean every day to every other day. Not constant, but here and there. It feels like bad menstural cramping, but I just get worried about it. I know a little is normal, but I don't know what normal feels like.

I really thought once I got this far(I will be 23 weeks tomorrow), I would stop worrying about miscarriage. I keep reading about these women with incompetent cervix and I am always worried something like that will happen to me. I guess I am just so happy and can't believe I am finally pregnant, it seems to good to be true. I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago and I am assuming everything was fine or they would have said something.
What are the rates of second trimester miscarriages??

Ok, to start off I have a great 4 year relationship with my boyfriend. We haven't broken up during this four years and we truly love each other. I'm 16 weeks pregnant with his baby. I was diagnosed at 10 weeks with Diabetes Type 1 (nothing to do with the pregnancy) and the doctor's said since I didn't know I had it during the critical first 10 weeks...which is so highly important for internal and skeletal developement, that there's a 3-5% chance of defects. I'm so scared and worried and feeling guilty about this all. I nervous to be pregnant because I just want to have a normal and healthy baby. Well, my boyfriend told me straight up that if the baby comes out with any defects, he's blaming me straight up. It just adds to my nervousness and asked him how he could be so insensitve (because he's normally not like that) but he says, "well, it will be your fault because I have no health conditions that directly would affect the baby" I cried because I was so hurt...was he wrong?

I had unprotected sex on January 12. I should have started my cycle around the 20th or little there after. However it has not happened. I have taken 2 pregnancy test and they both have come back negative. I have felt like I was cramping, however during that time and I have been under a lot of stress lately, my grandfather just past. Is it likely that the results are negative because I have not given my body enough time for it to register? Any input?

I know Im not going into labor anytime soon.
But I have already started to Dialate... 1 cm.
My waters haven't broke yet... I know I cant bath after they do.
But My hips are killing me... I feel like I have been riding horses all day.

Everyone tells me to take some tylenol or a warm bath.
But I didnt know if it's ok... I just thought I would ask here before calling my Dr. with a silly Question.

Ok...I'm 16 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with diabetes Type 1 (not related to the pregnancy...although I didn't find out until I was pregnant) anyways, I was talking with a girl who's had diabetes for 14 years. She's around my age (21) and I was explaining how I was pregnant and worried about the outcome of the baby due to the fact I was 10 weeks pregnant and had diabetes the whole time. Then she says, "Yeah, that's why I'll never get prenant-because I heard that if you don't keep your sugars between like 70 and 90 your baby will come out really fu(ked up". I was so hurt by this remark. Am I just being overly sensitive, or was this rude on her part?

I'm suppose to have an appointment later today to have some blood drawn to do the triple screen test to check for abnormalities. I'm deathly afraid of needles and I don't really see the need to go to this appointment because regardless if something is wrong, I still plan on keeping it. Is it wrong for me if I ditch the appt?

the other day and i didnt see anything there for the 2nd line. but when i took one yesterday i saw the first line and for the second line there was no actual line but the area where it would be there was a faded area. (you could see that that was where the line would be!) i didnt see that the other day. I have scheduled a test with my doctor to find out for sure. but has this ever happened to anyone before...faint area where the line would be compared to one with nothing for the second line!!!

I went to my OB last week for a routine check, I am 33 weeks pregnant. He asked if I was having anything weird, b/c I am the easiest pregnant woman there is... none of the "normal" pregnancy stuff... I told him that I've been having itching from head to toe that I cant get any relief from. It's more severe on my legs and arms and the bottoms of my feet and that lately it had been keeping me up at night. He looked kinda freaked, then ordered TONS of blood work. He said that he thinks it might be Cholestasis of Pregnancy. It is quite rare.

He explained everything, but told me to do some research on my own. The initial blood work came back all screwey, but the most important test, Bile Acid? wont be back until next week.

Anyone out there had this condition or know of anyone that has had it? Any recommendations on relieving the itching or the pain in my abd/back?

So i use condoms and the pill. I should get my period next week, i haven't had sex since a week or a few days before my last period. Got a pregnancy test this morning cause i haven't felt right but i was also sick with a virus last week...So the test was negative but how long would it take to be positive if i am? which i hope i'm not

My husband and I have always seen to it that our son has the best that we can provide. We don't leave him with sitters all of the time, and he does very well in school. He's got a roof over his head, food to eat, and more importantly, he's got a family who loves him. That's the way that it should be. By the way, he's eight.

I had my son 6 weeks ago and I stopped bleeding at about 3-4 went to doc's at 4 weeks for post birth apt, and I had infection, i took the medication and no pain now. But I find I have a lot of clear discharge (sometimes it pours out when I stand after sitting for awhile.)and sometimes along with pink blood, expecially after intercourse, is this normal? I am almost positive I had a period a few days after I left doc, but i only bled for maybe two days and it was a tiny bit of blood. What is going on?

My last email got removed for some reason!!

I slept with a guy on the Thursday night without using protection after starting a fresh pack of pills on the Wednesday night. I took the one on Thursday night 5 hours earlier than the one on the Wednesday night, and then took my Friday one 5 hours later. Im on microgynon 30 and take 3 packs of 21 pills in a row as the doctor prescribed this due to painful periods. I have been taking the pill for 15 months now and it has worked fine. I started to bleed a little a week before I was just to finish taking my pills and have had the odd bit of spotting on and off for the last few days. I have now finished the pack of pills and my period is due to properly start today. Could there be a possibility im pregnant? I havent really had any other symptoms. Im having cramping but thats it, and im eating lots and lots of biscuits but that maybe due to time of the month
