It's not a silly question.
It is perfectly safe to have a bath when you are dialted.
I have heard some caution should be taken once your water is broken so talk to your Dr. if that happens but until then, go ahead and relax in the tub!
(remember that lots of babies ((including mine)) have been born in water as a water birth, perfectly safe)

as long as your water has not broken you are fine..
I practically lived in the bath tub the week before i delivered.... it helped with my aches and pains... and i was dilated to almost 2 for over a month before that...
I actually took about 5 baths the day that my water broke... so after almost being in the bath all day.. as i was getting in to bed that night my water broke.....
so enjoy you baths now.. cause i have not had time to take a bath in 17 months...(age of my son)... lol... a quick shower is all i get now a days... so please take a many as you like it will help with the pain!!!!
good luck

Perfectly safe to have a bath when dialated. Just don't over due it with bubble baths and irritating things like that, if you are worried about infection.
Enjoy and relax

I was told thats its not good to get in the tub once dialated because 2 much extra water could drown the baby ive found that a long hot shower also helps

yes. you can and try to bath with warmest water you can handle, try a little hot if you can handle that it would help. I read on a book that eating ice helps with the pain. I don't know I will prove, that anytime soon.

Yes, you can bathe. After your water breaks is when you need to be careful.

Taking a warm bath is fine. If your water breaks then you can't take a bath.
