The reason is not because you can't make a legally enforceable contract until you are 18. You can, provided it is for "necessities" and accomodation would certainly be that. But, under the Law of Property Act 1925 no-one under 18 can own an estate in land. And this includes owning property or being a tenant of any kind. So, quite simply you cannot legally be a tenant until you are 18. After that its up to individual landlords. But it would be unlawful for them to discriminate against you on the basis of age. So they could not refuse to let to you just because you were 18, provided you met their other objective criteria (eg passed a credit check, having a guarantor, etc). Of course, if you are just looking for a room then its possible that you would only be a lodger, in which case you are not a tenant so the above restrictions do not apply. Your age might not be a problem, but a lot of people would be wary about sharing with someone who is technically a minor and for whom they might technically end up being partly responsible for. Also, your profile is not going to appeal to many. You work late nights, like the pub, and like all sorts of music. Many people looking for a lodger want someone who pays them some money but keeps put of the way. And the picture just makes you look like a noisy, immature 17 year old. You have to remember - most people your age are students so will often be in college accomodation or will be assisted by parents and living with friends etc. You are probably going to end up living with someone much older, and they are not going to share all your interests. So you will either have to be patient, or make your profile look a lot more professional.

I never had sharp pains in my side while pregnant. Usually the first sign is extreme tenderness in your breasts. Get a home pregnancy test or go to your doctor or Planned Parenthood. They can examine you, give you a pregnancy test and are far more experienced in counseling young women than the people on here. Be responsible, get all your facts straight then go talk to your mom. She loves you, she may be upset, but it will be okay. Good luck

Pregnancy tests are ver accurate these days and quire cheap go and by a few.
I would also consider talking to your Mum she might be a little sad at the fact her little girl is now a woman but I am sure she will be there to support you once she has got over it.
These kinds of pain are quite common with early pregnancy also the embryo attaching itself to the wall of the womb and your body adapting. Or it could be a simple infection or something like that.
QED Do the tests!!

Early signs of pregnancy include a missed period, breast tenderness, extreme fatigue, & nausea. You may also have what's known as implantation cramping, which can mimic menstrual cramps. But first and foremost, take a test to see whether or not you are pregnant. It sounds like your Mom wants you to be honest with her ... maybe with a topic such as sex, she'll keep "mum" about it to others. And maybe look into birth control (planned parenthood offers contraceptives cheaply and discreetly), so that you can have peace of mind in the future in case something like this happens again (it's happened to a lot of us). Good luck, hon!

First of all take a pregnancy test to make sure if you are or arent it would be best to take two because one may not be accurate, use two different brands...Second I was 17 when i had my son, and i was terrified to tell my parents because they are really strict and evryone expects the worse. Sure they will be mad in the beginning but they will get over it. But i found out the sooner you get over it and tell them the better you will feel! You cant be stressin' out that can lead to a miscarriage! Good Luck tellin her....

if the condom broke, you should have went to a planned parenthood clinic and gotten a Morning After Pill. but now it may be too late. if you think you are pregnant take a pregnancy test when you miss your period. As for telling your mom, you just have to tell her. About her repeating everything, that is a problem i have in my family- though its not my mom, you could try telling her you do not want everyone to know.... or else you just have to deal with it, sorry.

Everybody is different, but in your first pregnancy, the most common and first changes you will see are in your breasts. Nausea, fatigue, and heartburn are also signs.
As far as your mom, she will find out, moms have that intuition.....you might be able to get away with her not knowing for a while by telling her you have the stomach flu if your getting sick, but she will be able to help you :)....ANd...she probably does know you are playing around!

how obvious a troll do you have to be to say "iam a 17 year old female...." ? even with all the mistakes in spelling, most people know that 17 year old males cant get pregnant.
serious answer: ask your parents which home pregnancy test kit works best.

the best thing to do would be to come clean with your mom. You may have a different medical problem, what with having pain in your side, you should see a doctor. Odds are it won't be to awful when you talk to your mom, just try to stay calm and get it over with. Good luck :)
