Ok so I'm 11 week 5 days pregnant. I have had some morning sickness but not too bad (at least not as bad as with my son.) I have lost 9 and a half pounds so far and I'm not trying. I am eating (I just can't eat alot of meats.) I'm able to eat high carb foods and fruits and veggies. I was sicker with my son, ate less and didn't loss this much weight. I've had a few protein shakes but still can't seem to gain any weight. I know some weight loss is normal during the first trimester, I was just wondering how much is too much? When should I start to worry, or should I even worry until the second trimester?

My last period was on December 29th and I have a normal cycle. I was due for my next period on the 26th and so far have had nothing, which for me is so not normal, because my period is no where near being silent. Anyway I have been having extreme fatigue, A cramp in my left side which is nowhere near what I feel for period cramps, bad back pain, and an increased appetite for fast food. I just took a pregnancy test about an hour ago and it showed negative, but I have never felt like this before. Oh and I am on birth control but I am always very regular. Could I be prego or am I just losing my mind??

6 weeks pregnant and have a question about Toxoplasmosis.
I am 6 weeks pregnant and went to the GP for my 1st visit last week. I am French and my doctor (the one I use to see when I was still living in France) always told me to be extra careful the day I'll be pregnant as I am not immunized against toxoplasmosis - she advised me to stay away from cats and litter but also to stop eating tomatoes and lettuce but also that it was compulsory for me to have a blood test every month to check that I had contracted the parasitic- when I mentioned this to my GP she said that there no need here in England to do that kind of test and that as long as I was washing vegetables, fruits and others thoroughly and stay away from cats that will be fine. Who is right ? or what do you think about it ?

Everyone keeps commenting on the giving birth and asking if I'm nervous - which I am - but nothing compared to how scared I am at actually having a little baby to care for.

Was trying for baby for long time and financial I am prepared and I love my bump like nothing else I've ever know - Which is why the thought of doing something wrong and messing up is so frightening.

Is this normal or do you think I'm not ready?

Why do people expect you to tell them when they ovulate or when they should have sex for pregnancy or to not get pregnant?

How are we to know? I mean there are more factors that can affect this and NOT EVERY WOMAN IS THE SAME.

I just don't get it.

Are they wanting opinions or for us to just tell them?

I have a delimma. I will try to explain as easily as possible. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I am financially stable (make close to 6 figures a year) and have been wanting to have another baby (I already have a 2 year old). When I told my family they flipped and said I would be destroying my life based on the fact that my ex (who got me pg) was a horrible boyfriend and basically a born loser. They say he will cause nothing but heartache and drama if I have the baby.
I work as a model and my disappointed family say this will ruin my career even though I will only be out of the game for about a year....Today is the day I am supposed to get an abortion but I really feel confused. Emotionally and financially I am ready for another but how do I deal with my families comments and disappointment? I have told them they need to stop trying to control my life yet anyone who has been in a situation where parents are like this, they know how hard it can be.

What should I do? Abort or keep it?

Okay so here is my question I have a serious problem which surfaced last pregnancy and is doing so again this pregnancy. My blood pressure is currently stable at 118/72 but every time I got to the Drs office (OB) my BP is at 141 or higher over 80 I think it is nerves and I do have anxiety issues. Last pregnacy I was having non stress tests towards the end and the hospital was saying after being there for 20 minutes that my bp and pulse would return to normal and that I might have mild hypertension at the most and after delivery my BP dropped to 90/55 and I passed out which surprised them. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do to help it? I am very concerned that this is a trend and I own a business and can't afford to be put on bed rest unneccessarily. No sales = No $.

I know your uterus doesnt correct itself until about the beginning of the 2nd trimester, but during your first ultrasound readings will a tilted uterus cause the ob to get a false reading on how far exactly you are?

I know that spot bleeding is normal for the first 3 months of being on birth control, but I was just wondering if I'm at the same level of protection against pregnancy, or am I at an increased risk?

I have been experiencing cramping. Sometimes sharp and sometimes dull. I had a miscarriage recently and I am so scared that it will happen again. I have no bleeding at all but the cramps worry me. I sometimes get them only one time a day and other days it seems like ten times. I try to stay calm and rest as much as I can but I cant help but be scared. I wont be able to get to the doctor for a few weeks due to insurence issues. I know that that is a must as soon as I can but I just want to know if cramping is normal at this stage in my pregnancy?

I had two epidurals with my first two and was sick both times after they were first born. With my third I had a home birth with no pain relief and hence wasnt sick. I said to my midwife I was always sick after the birth. She said it may be due to the injection they give you to deliver the placenta so i chose to deliver the placenta naturally. I wasnt sick but now dont know if it was due to not having and epidural or not having the injection. My 4th is due in the summer and I would love to have my last labour pain free but am worried about being sick. What were your experiences with the epidural and the injection to deliver the placenta?

With my first pregnancy, I went into labor at 28 weeks and my son was born at 31 weeks so I never got to go to any lamaze classes. Because of that, I'm considered high risk with this prenancy and will have to go on bedrest at 24 weeks. Right now, I'm only 12 weeks and have an appointment to see my OB/GYN in a few weeks, so I will ask him then, but wanted to ask other mother's opinions too. When is a good time to take lamaze classes? Are they necessary, or do people usually forget what they learned due to labor pains anyway? What is taught? Is there anything strenuous (like pretending to push) that may cause a problem in someone high risk like me? Thanks so much!
