Everybody experiences pregnancy differently, so don't worry about it unless the doctor says you need to. I just wanted to sleep the whole pregnancy with both of my kids, and was not hungry at all until the 7th month.

You are 'scared' and 'depressed' because you are PREGNANT and you HORMONES are going 'WILD' ... you need to 'force yourself' to get up and take a 'nice, slow, smell the flowers' walk EVERY DAY ... but if the weather is 'too bad to go out' you need to find some 'other things' that will give you a bit of 'exercise' ... YOGA is very good for those who are pregnant, and can actually 'help get the body in shape' to deliver that baby. IF you are taking a 'good prenatal vitamin' then you are not experiencing a 'vitamin indefeciency' ... and DO NOT BELIEVE the stuff you have 'heard about' or even read about pregnancy. EACH PREGNANCY IS DIFFERENT, and the ONLY PERSON who can tell you whether what you are 'feeling' is OKAY or if you need immediate treatment is YOUR OBSTETRICIAN/ GYNECOLOGIST, and if this has you 'really really scared' then you need to call and make an 'earlier' appointment or go to an emergency room. IT IS BETTER TO BE 'SILLY' about your first pregnancy than it is to BE SORRY.

Pregnancy is not cut and dried - there is no rule to say that you will automatically feel better during the second trimester. Everyone is different. This is your first pregnancy, so your body is in shock. It's never experienced this before - My first pregnancy left me throwing up for 8 months!! Morning noon and night I was sick. I couldnt do ANYTHING!
My other two pregnancies were fine, but i still didnt feel great. As long as you are eating a balanced diet, then you shouldnt be lacking anything. Dont worry about it =- that will just make you worse. You need to relax, and take each day as it comes. If you cant do too much then dont. Its your bodies way of coping with what is going on inside you.
Good luck with the pregnancy.

I am 12 weeks as well and I feel really tired too. I feel like I have no energy to do anything. I would be really happy staying in bed all day and not doing anything at all. But That's impossible cause I have two little girls and they don't get sleepy when I do. But its normal, a pain but normal. Good luck to you and congrats on your baby. I don't go for my first check up till Feb. 12th I think, and I will be in my second trimester. I am just really happy To get past this 12 week point. Good luck!!!

Ha ha ha. Honey, every pregnancy for every woman in different. Some people's bodies adjust differently to the new horomones that are raging trough you. I am six months pregnant and im STILL having first trimester problems. You just have to go with it, and pray that it'll ease up. Also, if this is your first pregnancy, the effects can be more severe than a second or third.
Hope you feel better.

No, the fatigue will strike you on and off. I was exhausted during my first 3 months and fine the 4th. I'm now 23 weeks and it's starting all over again! My dr. said it was perfectly fine, esp. since I've been taking my prenatal vitamins. Don't forget that much of our oxygen and blood supply is going to our babies, so of course we can't be the energizer bunny. If you are truly concerned, perhaps ask the doctor for a blood test to make sure you're not anemic.

Are you taking a prenatal vitamin? The otc ones are fine but call to check with your doctor first. Its important to be getting lots of folic acid right now.
For me I felt like this for most of my pregnancy. I just kind of laid around and watched tv. And now I somewhat regret it. I ate very healthy but ended up gaining almost 60lbs I believe from not getting any kind of physical activity. My daughter was healthy but now (20 months later) I'm still trying to lose the weight.
So if your doctor says its okay try to get some physical activity everyday, even if its just walking around your neighborhood. Even if you don't feel like it.
Good luck to you!!

I had really bad fatigue in the early part of my 3rd pregnancy. I spent most of my days laying on the couch. I also had really bad morning sickness, so if I stood up, I had to puke.
I found out later at 17 weeks that I was pregnant with twins, so that made a lot of sense then lol.

Do you take pre-natal vitamins?? You should be if you are not try Materna they are supposed to be the best. Also it isnormal to feel really tired, for about the first 4 or 5 months i felt totally exhausted!!! I'm sure it was normal, try to go out if it is not to cold and go for a little walk to get a bit of fresh air.
