Pregnancy - January 2007

Just wondering how long it took you to feel comfortable telling everyone that you were pregnant. Including how long it took you to tell the father. I know most people are estatic but for those who were cautious, how did you tell the father and how did he react?

I'm not sure if i'm pregnant or not, probably not. But i'm curious by nature.

I TOOK A PREGNANCY TEST THE FIRST TIME AND IT CAME OUT POSITIVE. I HAVE BEEN FEELING ALL THE SYMTONS BUT WHEN I GO TO THE DOCTOR THEY GAVE ME A PREGNANCY TEST AND IT CAME OUT NEGATIVEAND THE NURSE SAID THAT IM NOT PREGNANT. BUT YET I STILL HAVE THE SIGNS MY BELLY IS ROUNDER AND GETTING HARD, I HAVE A DARK LINE SHOWING FROM MY LOWER STOMACH TO THE MIDDLE... WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???

I am 8 weeks pregnant went out to dinner with my husband yesterday. He ordered me a glass of wine with my meal and insisted that I drink it.

I told him pregnant women shouldn't drink and he told me I was being dramatic. He said that a glass of wine was healthy for everyone and that there was no way one little glass of wine would hurt a fetus.

I still think it was a bad idea.

Who was right?

have been to my brothers wedding had 6 flights, 30hrs train journey , motorway and country road driving for 3 days about 10hr a day lot going around for shopping for wedding. Ate a lot of curry and stuff and now i am back home and since i got home i have been feeling awfully tired and been having hickups and burps every few minutes and also feel a bit of pressure when i walk. Can anyone tell if there is anything to worry about or is it just tiredness.

Because when i go to school every day i use 2 wlk through the metal detectors because i didint know that i wasnt sopposed 2 until a security guard asked me do you go throught the metal detectors i told her yae and she said to stop because it isnt safe 4 the baby

I will be 24 weeks on Saturday and my little guy is either punching me or kicking me in the same spot over and over again. Is this normal for the kicks to be in the same spot over and over?? It will stop for a while and then start again.

i babysit for my aunt and uncle, and i have for the last 6 months, I told then i would months before she was even born...i told them i would until she was two but if i knew how boring....or how lonely it was going to make me i never would have, in early jan. my aunt mentioned something about if i didnt want to then in june there was someone that could but i am scared to tell her i didnt want to or to let her down so i just said right now i am planning to keep babysitting her but inside i want to tell then i dotn want to anymore, plus my husband and i fight about it bc he doesnt think its a real job and i should be contributing more financially which i also agree with the financial aspect, but i just dont want to back out of babysitting whenever i told them i would before, i hate telling people no! and i dont know how, one reason i agreed to bbysit was bc i am taking online classes but i am bored with that and i just want to work but everyone will be let down if i quit school?!?

hey all! i am 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and started bleeding yesterday. at first it was brown in color and then turned into red. i went to my midwife...my cervix was closed and we did a sonogram showing the baby and it's heartbeat...all was well but still bleeding. i went home and rested, bleeding stopped for about 6 hrs, then around midnight i got up to pee (which i do a lot of now) and noticed two small clots. they were about the size of a nickel but didn't seem like much to them, but it did freak me out. i called my midwife and she thought it was just old blood. i am scared i had a miscarriage. i have been experiencing cramping through my entire pregnancy thus far and i had some last night but nothing severe or out of the ordinary. i am continuing to cramp today but not a lot and my bleeding has turned to brown and light again. has this ever happened to anyone before. i wish i could get another sonogram...but now it is just a waiting game! i can't stand it....please help!

I have scoliosis and i was wondering if anyone was pregnant or has delivered if you could share some stories...My husband and i are trying to concieve, but i'm scared about the delivery...Has anyone with scoliosis had an epidural, i'm afraid of that because i just dont want anyone near my spine with a needle, also what other pain relief medication can you get instead of just natural childbirth...And i'm also concerned about the back pain, how bad it was, cause i deal with back pain on and off anyway...I'm just looking for personal stories, everyone says talk it over with your doctor, but i'm just looking for some personal experiences/insights...Thank you in advance...

No, I'm not trying to find an excuse to eat junk food -- I eat pretty well, always have.

But I can't find any actual proof that healthy eating habits actually do much.

I don't mean "as opposed to eating utter garbage and not taking a vitamin supplement." Nutritional _deficiencies_ = problems, yes.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant. When I touch my stomach to feel my uterus sometimes it a little painful. Not like a peircing pain, but a "tenderness" pain. It feels llike my uterus is very tender. Why is this and is it normal? Did you experience this at all?

how common is it to miss a period when on the microgynon 30 pill. iv been on it for nearly 3 years and i my period is now 11 days late.


i have taken a test but it was negative. dont always take the pill as often as i should but this has never happened before.


when i have sex with my boyfriend we only put the condom on right at the end. we dont often have unprotected sex, but do.


i missed some pills in my last pack but didnt continue taking another pack because this was already my second pack in a row. i did have unprotected sex with my bf two days after my last pill in the pack.


how long after a missed pill does the body release an egg? and what happens to the egg (if one is released) when you continue taking the pill?


im not too clear on how the cycle works when on the pill!!!!!

I'm 17 weeks pregnant...here's what's going on: I've been getting anywhere from 7 1/2 to 9 hours of sleep pretty much every single night. I go to bed no later than 10:00pm every night and usually wake up around 7:30 to 8:00am to go to work. Why is it that I still feel SO TIRED everyday still after good nights sleep?? Is it because I'm pregnant?

I can feel my uterus, right underneath my navel and above my pubic bone, will i still feel this throughout the pregnancy and will it still feel kinda heavy/full and will it still put a pressure on my bladder
