Just wondering how long it took you to feel comfortable telling everyone that you were pregnant. Including how long it took you to tell the father. I know most people are estatic but for those who were cautious, how did you tell the father and how did he react?

I'm not sure if i'm pregnant or not, probably not. But i'm curious by nature.

My fiancee and I have been together 7 years and always wanted a child. I had just graduated from college and started a new job when I found out in September...I didn't hesitate to tell the baby's father but I was hesitant to tell my parents, afraid that they would be somewhat disappointed since everything was happening all at once. I'm also a meticulous person and like everything organized and planned out. This threw my plans off track. I waited until a few weeks ago to tell my co-workers, but then they already had their suspicions. With my closest friends, I told when I was about a month and a half along, and with other friends, they found out when I was about 3.5 months. Word spread rather quickly after that.

I'm on my 4th pregnancy and I have told the father immediately every time.
With the first pregnancy I told people right away and then we later found out it was an ectopic pregnancy. It was really hard because a lot of people did not know that it didn't work out and then they would ask me how the baby was doing. That sucked.
Second pregnancy I waited until I went to the dds and I saw a heartbeat with an ultrasound. I then went home and told everybody.
Third pregnancy I again told everyone immediately and later found out it was also an ectopic pregnancy.
This pregnancy I have told my close friends and family but I have not volunteered this information to others. So far everything is fine.
Good Luck!

Well for my first child I was nervous to tell anyone I was only 18 so i was scared i didn't know how anyone would react. I called my sister first I knew she would be happy, then I told the father and then everyone else. I told the father when we were alone and he was happy. Then with the child I'm pregnant with now I called my sister and my neices and nephews everyone was jumping around screaming like nuts! Everyone has been waiting for this for a coulpe of years then I told my fiance when he got home from work I slid the test beside him and he looked at it and was very happy (for some reason he knew I was pregnant so he wasn't very shocked) then I called everyone else.

I was thinking of doing something for my man on fathers day to tell him he's gonna be a daddy! But i couldn't keep my mouth shut and lie to him, as he bought the tests for me! But what originally i had planned was getting a fathers day card.. and then putting the test inside. Maybe with some words? Love from baby to be? Or a congratulations card if you think fathers day card is too much.

my man was with me when i took the preg test, but i would probrably have told him a week or so later after i went to the doctor for the first time. i promise, many reactions are completely different from the movies. i think my now-husband was close to hyperventilating and there were no hugs and kisses. more like a hole in the wall (not that he's violent, dont think that at all).
as for my parents (the predictable southern bible belt type), i waited a good three months until i was showing and was going on a beach trip with them before i mentioned anything. my grandparents on the other hand..... i told them a good month or two before delivery, ha!

I told my husband as soon as the test came back positive. He was nervous about the idea of a baby, so he just congratulated me!! I called my immediate family later that day, but we waited to tell friends for a few weeks. My husband wanted to wait until i was 12 weeks, but I just couldn't keep the news to myself!! By 9 weeks, everyone knew. Oh, and as nervous as my husband was back then, he is just as excited now. I am 32 weeks along now.

I told the father as soon as I knew. He was just as happy as me. All 4 times. The family with the first we were 18 weeks along. With the others it was within the first 8 weeks. Good luck

The 1st person I told was the father....I was real young so I wrote my parents a letter and stayed at my girlfriends for 2 weeks until I felt they wouldn't be to upset. Oh by the way it wouldn't have mattered how long I was gone they were still upset. But they were and still are good parents and accepted us with love

I was so excited about my pregnancy that I called my husband at work as soon as the HPT came out positive! We waited to tell people until we confirmed that I was pregnant and that everything was okay...I was about 12 weeks along before we told others!

You should tell him right away. Even if your not pregnant, Just tell him thatthe both of you may have been visited by the stork.
Just as a cute way to break the ice.

One thing is for sure you don' t want to wait and then he finds out you new for a period of time and didn't tell him. it hurts there feelings.
The sooner you tell the better. It's a time to celebrate and be happy this is something that the both of you created together out of love.
