It is possible to still get pregnant. You might want to head to the doctor because it is possible that the egg has lodged in the tube and was fertilized. If so the embryo would develop and possible rupture your tube.

A tubal ligation makes you permanently sterile. The only way to get pregnant now is to have surgery that reverses the tubal ligation. I've heard of rare occasions where a woman's body will reverse the procedure on its own, but this is rare.... and makes me wonder if the tubal ligation was done right anyway. Even if you have the reversal surgery, there's a chance you still won't be able to conceive.

I don't know about IVF... that's worth lookin into.

You sure can. There was a woman getting sick in the restroom at the store the other day. I asked how far along she was and she said "5 months, I had Tubal Ligation done 5 years ago but I guess it didn't hold." She seemed happy, though.

Rarely the doc can reattach the tubes so you can get pregnant the old fashioned way. The risk of complications, like a tubal pregnancy, goes up when you have a reversal done.

An alternative is to have a fertilized egg placed in your uterus by a doctor. You'd have to call a fertility clinic for more information about this one though, and it is bound to be expensive.
