Pregnancy - December 2006

I recently got into an accident, I had to have surgery and I had signifigant blood loss, enough to recieve a transfusion. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and had dropped a lot of weight. Now I missed my period, I had sex once between my previous period and this trauma (right after my period ended, and had this accident the next day) should I be worried or is it more likely that I am missing it from the trauma?
Please help! I am not in the position right now to take a pregnancy test unless it is an emergency!

I am 16 and i took my sis to go get tested by a doctor and she is preg.but my lil sis as a illness (dont no it is called) and it makes her not show she is preg. so that helps with the parents we decided to tell our parents that she is being raped i just wanted to tell this for more info.

is it possible to get pregnant when your period is due within the next couple of days and you've had unprotected sex? what i'm trying to say is that i had unprotected sex with my bf on the 23rd and 24th and im expecting my period any day now...could i possibly get pregnant? i kno most women ovulate in between cycles so i just wanted 2 kno what are the odds of me getting pregnant!

I keep having the braxton hicks contractions, not really regular but they are a little more uncomfortable, probably have about 5 to 8 of them in a hour and I have some menstrual like cramping with them also sometimes and I have shortness of breath sometimes with them. I am 38 weeks. I really don't know what to look for in order for me to call my doctor. Could you give me some signs to look for. Thanks

I was curious if sperm is released before ejaculation? If you have unprotected sex for fifteen minutes before putting on the condom are your chances of getting pregant high? Does some sperm come out other than pre *** between then and ejaculation?

New to town and looking for prenatal doctor... but uncomfortable with the only good doctor I can find so far..becuase he is young and good looking... I wouldn't want that in a doctor... He is the only good doctor I like so far, and I am already 3 1/2 months pregnant and better settle on a doctor soon.... I have already had prenatl visits with 2 different doctors. This one with in ER when my daughter went in and I was impressed with his bedside manner and he seemed easy to talk to and understanding and a good listener, but he is young and good looking and I don't feel comfortable with that as I am newly single.. and really... how can you tell a goregous doctor that you have diahreaa... and how can he look there and deliver your baby? But I really do need a good doctor fast....

What would you do????
-pick a good doctor that you are uncomfortable with for personal reasons
-OR keep looking for a prenatal doctor at 3 1/2 months pregnant and maybe find a good one, or a mediocore one

Ok, I'm 30-31 weeks now and so far I've had a perfect pregnancy. About 30 minutes ago I got cramps that won't go away. There is the constant pain and pressure plus waves of more intense pain when I move. They can't be contractions if it's constant pain and depends on movement right? This isn't what I thought contractions would be like and I've had what I'm sure are BH, but this is different. I will go to the ER
if it continues much longer, but what are your thoughts?

We are having smoked turkey at Christmas dinenr tomorrow and I want to know if there is a chance of contracting listeria or toxoplasmosis from it. It is a whole smoked turkey, not smoked turkey deli meat, if that makes sense.

Will it be ok if I heat it up until it is steaming?

After I had unprotected sex i got my period but it came three days early and it was very heavy. My next period was very very light and it came exactly three days early. My period has never done this ever since i had unprotected sex. I have been peeing alot ad my appetite has changed. I have had alot of gas since then. I started me last period Nov.22nd...I had sex Dec 8th but he pulled out...I was told I might have been ovulating around that time but I am not sure.....I spotted Dec.23rd........and today is Dec.24th...I still didnt get my period........I have been having a loss of apetite and have been feeling nauseaus but it could be from worrying....so do you think I am pregnant? For Breakfast I like to cook my eggs so the yolk is runny. You know, cook it on one side and then the other and not break the yolk so in the middle it is raw I guess, but cooked,.......Just wondering, is that okay to do when pregnant?
