lol...since you are under 18 he's in a whole lot of trouble should you decide to keep this baby. It's illegal to have sex w/ someone under 18...
Since you are 16, I'm assuming that you don't live in your own home, and rely on your parents still to take care of you. You need to discuss this situation w/ your parents. If they are unwilling to care for both their own child (YOU) and your new baby...you may have to consider adoption. I've had two friends who've done this over the years...and their experiences were great. They had open adoptions, which means that they still see and communicate w/ their child, and have developed awesome relationships with their children and the adoptive parents.
Edit: And all those people make it sound like getting child support is soooo easy. It's not. My son is almost six and I've never seen a dime. Yeah, I've taken him to court, but he still doesn't pay. So don't count on that.

You're right - it won't be easy. But it will be possible, if you have the willpower to deal with it. I had a friend in high school who had a baby at 16 and the father disappeared. Now she's happily married with a college degree, a good job, and an 11-year-old boy. Good for you for taking responsibility for this. Too bad your boyfriend won't do the same. The minute this child is born, you need to file whatever paperwork is necessary to get child support. Unfortunately, you can't force him to be a part of your child's life. But you CAN force him to help pay for the baby. Don't let him talk you into an abortion or adoption unless that is what YOU want to do. He's just afraid he'll be arrested if you have this baby. Maybe he will - but that baby's welfare is a lot more important than his.
Good luck!

I dont know where you live but a 20 yr old with a 16 yr. old is illegal. So if He wouldnt want to end up in jail then he better take care of his responsibilities, if you get what Im saying. It doesnt matter if he wants to be with you or not you are still having his baby and he should take care of it also. Why should you be left on your own to take care of a baby both of yall made? And by the way it sounds like you are the mature one here. Maybe hes too 'young' for you. And just for the record I was 17 when I got pregnant and my son is 5 now. Its gonna be real hard but its worth it.

I agree with him that you are too young to be a mother, as you aren't even a high school graduate yet.
But, that's beside the point, if you are truly pregnant. You do realize that he could technically get in a lot of legal trouble, with you being a minor, if your parents wanted to file charges.

Tell your parents immediately, and ask them to take you to a doctor for a real pregnancy test to confirm what the assumingly store-bought test told you.

Sometimes the store-bought ones can give you a false positive.

Well he is definatly not facing up to the reality that this child is coming into the world whether he likes it or not and its your body and you choice and since you've decided to have the child you should tell your parents or whomever you trust enough and think of the plan of action your going to take and you always have to think of whats best for you and the baby ex:adoption/keeping the baby and its going to be hard but if you have someone to talk too about you trust it may be easier to think about all the hard decisions

I commend you for realizing your responsibilities. Too many young girls are getting pregnant and just giving it up to abortion. It takes a lot of strength to be in your situation. Don't worry about him. He's right- you are too young but you know what? It's too late for those thoughts. If he doesn't want to help, make sure he knows your lawyer will be notifying him of what he'll owe you in child support. Swallow any pride you might have and ask for help from friends and family. This is will hard, but you can do it. I wish you the very best of luck!!

your on trac cause abortion ain't right! secondly, a boy when he wants something can make you feel like the world but when a baby pops up he runs. right now it's sad that a grown *** man was messin wit a baby(you) and now he's a grown *** man runnin from a baby. you shouldn't have dated older men, we some times get to the point where we feel boys our age are definitly immiture, so we go for the older and more laid back. come to find out, some of them are the same. i 15 years old and i was messin wit a 19 year old dude and my uncle put it in simple words "think about what do a 19 year old boy want wit a 15 year old??" to late but you should have tought betta, but you raise your baby and if he wants to help he can, but if not, CHILD SUPPORT, is always there! but i can tell you a child no matter what they say will always feel that void in their heart for their fathers! but you pray and believe me GOD will talk to you to show you the way!

kick him to the curb! Yes it will be hard, it will be really really hard. But if he's useless it's only going to be harder. If you're going to be a Mom you have to do what's right for your little one. Dead beat Dad's aren't good. One totally focused parent is better. You need to focus on your baby and making good decisions for the two of you now. You can't do that worrying about this guy that doesn't even know what he wants now. Call your local health department, and get an appointment. You need to find out about all the resources avalible in your area. You'll need to find a sitter, so you can finish school. You NEED to finish school! Good Luck, you can do it!
