I am 31 weeks pregnant and have craved ice my entire pregnancy. All of my tests have come back normal and the doctor said that some women get cravings with no logical reason at all. It can be a sign of certain vitamin deficiencies but if you are taking your vitamins regularly and your doctor says your iron is good then don;t worry.

I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I love ice. Its just a regular craving but it can also be dangerous to your iron as well.

Sometimes when your pregnant people get cravings. Some come later then usual, but yours if only 7 weeks seems to of come early. And people usually have a craving for sweets so yours is quite rare.

I've heard of pregnant women craving ice before - it's just a normal craving, like nearly all pregnant women have. My mother craved pickles, others crave ice cream, or ribs, or brownies...you crave ice.

I can't blame you - the crunch is very satisfying. Also, if you have hot flashes, it may help a bit.

It's prob just one of those cravings that pregnant people get.Plus you could just be dehydrated...if its that, make sure you get more fluids into you b/c ice just wont cut it. I guess eating ice is a lot better than eating pickles and ice cream.lol

I ate a lot of ice with my last pregnancy. It turned out I was anemic (iron deficiancy). Talk to your doctor about it at the next appointment. They'll most likely blood test you for anemia anyway and get that taken care of.

It means that you have an iron deficiency. On your next doctor's visit tell your doctor that you have an ice eating urge and s/he will give you iron pills. I use to eat a lot of ice as well. My doctor put me on iron supplement pills and now I just enjoy the ice in my drinks and don't have to urge to eat them.
