Ok, I'm 30-31 weeks now and so far I've had a perfect pregnancy. About 30 minutes ago I got cramps that won't go away. There is the constant pain and pressure plus waves of more intense pain when I move. They can't be contractions if it's constant pain and depends on movement right? This isn't what I thought contractions would be like and I've had what I'm sure are BH, but this is different. I will go to the ER
if it continues much longer, but what are your thoughts?

They could braxton hicks(fake contractions) try calling your Dr. another thing you could try is take a little walk and if they go away they are braxton hicks and if they get stronger or you get really uncomfortable go to the ER..

Hi! I just had my first baby September 5th. It sounds like your baby might have dropped a little. He/She might be laying in an uncomfortable position for you. Contractions will only last, but so long. It will be a constant pain of pressure. Then it will go away. It may not even hurt at first. Call your doctor or labor and delivery at the hospital. If you can't get a hold of you doctor then call the hospital. The nurses there can answer your questions as well. Good Luck to you!

If you are feeling cramps low on your belly then I would call your doctor. But I am also 30 - 31 weeks (Due on Feb 26) and I get cramps up high or on the side when the baby is moving a lot or if I have done a lot physically. Normally it is the worst in the evening. My doctor said it was ok if it was constant but if it comes and goes or if your lower back starts cramping then you should get checked just in case.

Real contractions don't normally start off painful. If they don't go away after you drink a couple of glasses of water, walk around for a little bit, and if they are still painful, I would call your OB (don't head for the ER). Your OB should have 24 hour coverage and can advise.
Good luck.
