I've never been told that getting in a tanning bed while you're pregnant is unsafe for the baby (this is my 3rd pregnancy) I guess that just what I've always assumed... But my sister in law is pregnant right now and so am I. She still goes to the tanning bed about twice a week. Is that safe?!

another question for all you lovely helpful ladies out there. Im 13 weeks and am hoping to hear my babies heartbeat this afternoon. Up till now the pregnancy hasn't felt real. All symptoms have gone and apart from being a little tired, i feel as normal. It got me worried that something may be wrong. When u heard the heartbeat did it make the pregnancy seem real? if not, at what point did this happen?

I had my first ultrasound yesterday (9w5d), and the heartrate was 176. Does this mean it is more of a chance of being a girl vs. boy. I heard if it is a faster rate it is more of a chance of a girl. Just curious if anyone with a boy had a fast heartrate. I'll be happy with what ever it is, but it's always fun to guess and wonder : )

Good Afternoon Peeps,
I have been have sex with my partner and recently i have deiscovered some changes and because of this I have a alsight feeling that i may be pregnant.
My symtoms are; feeling sick thoughtout the day (which has only started happening), feeling bloted, my appitite is bigger and I have been peeing more often.
I also wanted to know that is it possible to spot in between periods whilst being pregnant?
I know taking a test would be much easier but I'm not sure if its just me thinking too deep into things.

my monthly cycle is of 28 days.i normally start feeling pms 2 or 3 dayz before the date but this time i started feeling them 10 days before the date...today is my 25th day n i m feeling abdominal cramping since a week.from 2 days i m feeling a dull ache in lower abdomen on left side which remains for few seconds and somtimes it becomes severe.i also want to mention that me n my husband had an intercourse on almost every day during ovulation.i know that pms and early signs of pregnancy r quite similar but the strange thing for me is that cramping started too early which i normally hav 2 or 3 days before and the other strange thing is that dull ache on one side of lower abdomen which becomes severe sometimes though remains for few seconds.i also hav tender breasts and the tenderness sometimes becomes mild n sometimes moderate.i feel tired all the time too.anybody knows that what is this????

I had a baby about 5 months ago and I am keeping the umbilical cord to reinsert inside of my uterus just as I have done with all of my pregnancies. My older kids are at the age where they now go into the freezer to get there snacks and I dont want them to accidently eat the old umbilical cord because I am saving it under the advice of my obgyn. He has me manually reinsert it into my uterus so that my new babies will have something to feed off of. Its a lot easier than waiting for a new one to grow. Is there some other place that I can keep the old umbilical cord other than the freezer so that it will stay fresh? I dont want it to go back and spoil my babies might get sick. Help please!!

i had a positive pg test on 17 oct but on 21 oct i bled as the fertilised egg did not implant. i have just done another test today, 25 days later, which is positive. do you think this is reliable or have i still got pregnancy hormones from last month. my breasts have been sore for 6 days now though, sorry tmi.

I had a seriously late term abortion (4 months) by a doctor who is now recognised to be a person of malpractice. I remember it being weird and frightening as he was smoking a cigar around the clinic when I was coming in and out of consciousness. It took four days of being under and inducing and now I am so frightened that my wonderful husband and I can't have children because of that. We have discussed it. I have expressed my fears to doctors. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced similar and been able to conceive?

My period is now nearly 3 months late. I was on the pill when it first stopped but since have been taken off it but theres still no show. Ive been feeling sick and tired but ive done a few pregnancy tests and they were all negative. My doctor still seems to think that i could be pregnant though and i will be going for a scan once i get an appointment but im starting to get worried and annoyed now because me and my boyfriend are anxious to know whats wrong. Any ideas, could it be pregnancy or something else?

I am 19 yrs old and have a 4 month old baby. I just found out I am pregnant again and am not ready for another baby just yet. I find it hard at the moment, a baby that takes alot of my energy and I feel I have to put all my effort into her before I think about another baby. If I keep the pregnancy I would have 2 children under 1 year old and I really dont think I would cope very well. My partner really wants to keep that baby, but I dont think he realises how hard it will be on me. What is your advice?

I was a few days late on my period so i took a pregnancy test which was positive. i already have 2 children aged 4 and 2 and after discussing it with my fiance we have decided a termination would be the best thing to do.i have researched my options on the net and have decided that i want an early medical abortion (abortion pills).it is my understanding from the net that if i have the pills before 8 weeks i can come home after the second tablet but between 8 and 12 weeks i will have to stay in hospital whilst the abortion actually happens.i visited my GP the day after taking the test and he says i have to wait for an appointment at the hospital (st james's TH,leeds) he tells me i am 5 weeks pregnant going by the first day of my last period (8th october) i took the test a few days after i missed my period and went to the GP straight away. i am very and worried and the gp couldnt tell me much info.has any1 had the abortion pills on the nhs and can you tell me the prosess beginning to end
