I am not going to take this question seriously because I don't believe a word of it.
But - even for pure indulgence, I want to discuss this I will still say that what you are doing is really bizarre. Whoever advice you to reinsert the cord into your uterus needs a shrink! I don't believe a word you said about "have done with all of my pregnancies"
Freezing the cord in your freezer will cause so much cell damage that there is no way your next baby could have ANY use for it. The new baby will also has its own cord already attached to its body anyway, plus a new placenta.
About your other children, why can't you just put it a sealed container labelled "Umbilical cord - DO NOT EAT!" I am sure they can read simple instruction?
(Why am I so stupid to even answer this question in the first place?)

I'm sorry but I have never heard of this practice. Your fetus feeds off the nutrients in your body, not some old dried out umbilical cord. They can't even get to it until after they are born as they are encased in the placental sac until that time.
The only thing I can see of coming from this weird practice is an infection from something being inserted that isn't sterile.
Your doctor sound like someone from the middle ages and if I were you I would find a doctor who doesn't practice voodoo medicine.

Wow i've never heard of that... I always thought that when you conceive a new baby they get their own umbilical cord... Oh, wait, they do!! Well, you do what you have to do... I would get a new freezer for your kitchen and put the old one in the garage and store the cord there!

I have a suggestion. If your OBGyn wants you to keep it for that purpose, let him/her keep it for you. You really don't need it. You didn't have one for the first baby, so why would you bother with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.? On the other hand, it won't hurt them to eat the umbelical anymore than it will hurt you to put it inside of you to be eaten/digested. I disagree with your OBGyn. I'd ask for medical proof and documentation (with many years of Many cases listed.) Also, seek the opinion of another OBGyn.

are u serious? this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. i work in a hospital and i am going to ask a nurse about this one and get back to u.
ok i am back. the nurse told me u r pulling our leg. it is impossible to put anything into your uterus because your cervix closes up after delivery.
get a life lady!

How absolutly bizarre. It's one thing to be serious, but its another to have sat and spent the time thinking about this in order to post it.
