Its to early to tell with the heartbeat...and most doctors will tell you that its not true anyway.

It is not true because I was told by the heartbeat that my baby was a boy and it was a girl. I was disappointed when she was a girl because I believed the doctor. I had no name picked out and I had bought all boys items trusting what the doctor said. With my next child I said that to my new doctor and he laughed and said the heart beat all has to do with the way the baby is positioned in the womb. So don't take what your told and believe it. The only way you will really know is with an ultrasound and even sometimes that can be wrong but not as likely.

I really don't know about boy/girl heartbeats, I just wanted to say congrats. I just heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday.... It is AMAZING! Good luck.

The old wives tale actually says if the heart beat is higher it's a girl and lower if it's a boy. My baby's heartrate is 150 and a girl. You can't go by this really but it is fun to guess!
