My period is now nearly 3 months late. I was on the pill when it first stopped but since have been taken off it but theres still no show. Ive been feeling sick and tired but ive done a few pregnancy tests and they were all negative. My doctor still seems to think that i could be pregnant though and i will be going for a scan once i get an appointment but im starting to get worried and annoyed now because me and my boyfriend are anxious to know whats wrong. Any ideas, could it be pregnancy or something else?

Had a urine test which was also negative but he didnt do a blood test. Surely a urine test would have showed positive by now though if i was

the doc should have taken a beta hcg from you "pregnancy blood test" which would tell you as soon as it returns from the lab he/she has no need to give you a scan before bloodwork is taken unless he/she knows something their not telling you ask him/her for a beta hcg test.

ok, until you get a blood test, there is now way to know if you are or aren't pregnant. urine tests are very effective, but not 100% no matter how many you take. your hormone level may not be high enough to show a positive sign of pregnancy with a urine test. it may be that the pills have not yet excreted from your system fully, or that you have been under a lot of stress. not only does pregnancy give you feelings of sickness, so do bcp. there have been many women who had menstural cycles and been pregnant throughout the entire pregnancy, so until you have that test done, relax, don't stress and anticipate so much. I went 6 months this past year with out a period, and was not pregnant, and I had every symptom of pregnancy.....trust me, I have 2 already, so I know the symptoms.

It's quite common for your periods to take a long time to go back to normal after coming off the pill so could be that.

Its possible that you could be pregnant
But
it could also be that your body has changed and you could be going through the menopause.
It seems unlikely due to your age (I'm just guessing your not above 50 years old)
But is very possible.
Many very young girls have gone through this,
one of the stories which sticks out for me is on a documentary i watch a 5 year old girl went through menopause because her body was developing too fast.
Well i hope for the best for you.x

Surely your Dr. gave you a urine test? You have to have one before they send you for a scan. Go back with a urine sample to put your mind at rest.

I would say you coule be pregnant though the tests nowadays are usually very accurate, so i reckon it is probably something else, it could be stomach ulsers or ibs or anything really. just try be patient until you get the results. good luck :-)

you might be but if you have ad so many negative then maybe it's the pill after coming off it takes a while to get your period... but good luck you scan should say it all.

Pregnancy tests are usually really accurate, maybe you have an excess of pill hormones that need to work through your system.....

yep, afraid to say it sounds like you are preggers, the negative tests could just mean there aren't enough pregnancy hormones in your body(hcg), it happened to me
good luck
