Pregnancy - September 2006

Was blow drying my hair this morning and i didnt realise the cable was damaged. i accidently ended up touching my stomach with the live wire and ended up giving myself a bit of a shock. Thing is im six months pregnant and im a little worried it may of harmed my baby. Should i give my midwife a ring and ask for a check up or am i just being silly?

Well now I'm 18 weeks pregnant. In my early weeks (5-8wks) After watching a film or something I used to go in an outdoor pub (obviously in a non-smoking area). Later on in my pregnancy I heard that sound in pubs are bad for the baby as it's still developing etc.. Is this true? I only used to stay there for one hour or so. No smoking and no drinking.

Hi all,

Im about 27 weeks pregnant and overweight, i weigh 234 pound. I need to know has anyone gone this far without feeling strong kicks? my tummy is not hard as well.

Again, when did your tummy get hard? can you go on labor with a soft tummy?

From my various other posts im sure you have gathered my story. I only have 4 days now until i know whether or not i have missed a period and will give me a good sign as to whether or not i am pregnant. Since Friday I have now developed itchy legs particularly just above the ankles at the begining of the calf...could this be another symptom or just itchy legs? I mean what else could itchy legs be - i dont use soap anymore on the legs cuz it use to irritate them so it cant be that.

Me and my boyfriend had sex a month ago. He came inside me. This happened a week before my period started. I took the EC the day after we had sex. i know that you get some spotting because of the EC. My period came in that week as well, but it was lighter and it did not last the whole 5 days. I know that this is normal if you used the EC. My Question. If that was spotting and not my period am I pregnant or does the spotting mean that i did get my period. I need to know if I can be pregnant since that time and maybe that I thought that the spotting was my period. I really need some help.

I know that you guys might think i am stupid or something, but I am 21 now and my b'friend is 24. We are going out for 5 months now I was still a virgin when he met me. I am just scared that i dont know enought that there are to know about these things that he can maybe want to get me pregnant.

Hi everyone,
I am now in my 39th pregnant. My baby been kicking very good yesterday. Somehow, today she's not kicking a lot and her kicks was kinda weak. Last night about this time he was kicking very hard but tonight she hasn't kick for about 5 hours already. All I felt she did move once or twice but weak. I'm relieved a little, she just moved but again very weak.

My Ex GF & I have been separated nearly 4 mths now. We haven't had any type of sexual contact since the separation. I believe the last time we had sexual intercource was about 4.5 or 5 mths ago. She say's she hasn't been with any other men after me, so she knows it belongs to me. I'm not sure what to believe. She said for the 1st couple of months she had her period but here recently she hasn't started her period. She took 3 home pregnancy test & they all came back positive. She went to the Dr. & the Dr. told her she is pregnant for sure. I don't know rather to believe her or not. I don't know much about women's period cycle. Is it normal to have a period even when you're in the 1st stage of pregnancy?. I need to know. She didn't have her period at all when she was pregnant with our 1st child, so I'm not sure what to believe. Help please!! & before anyone mentions it -Yes, I'm gonna have a DNA test after the baby is born. I still need to know the answer to this question though. Thanks

I have been feeling really sick latley. Almost like i have morning sickness again but i dont throw up and some stomach pains. I also cant stand or walk around for to long without getting sick and dizzy, could this be a sign of labor? or has anyone experienced this before?
