My Ex GF & I have been separated nearly 4 mths now. We haven't had any type of sexual contact since the separation. I believe the last time we had sexual intercource was about 4.5 or 5 mths ago. She say's she hasn't been with any other men after me, so she knows it belongs to me. I'm not sure what to believe. She said for the 1st couple of months she had her period but here recently she hasn't started her period. She took 3 home pregnancy test & they all came back positive. She went to the Dr. & the Dr. told her she is pregnant for sure. I don't know rather to believe her or not. I don't know much about women's period cycle. Is it normal to have a period even when you're in the 1st stage of pregnancy?. I need to know. She didn't have her period at all when she was pregnant with our 1st child, so I'm not sure what to believe. Help please!! & before anyone mentions it -Yes, I'm gonna have a DNA test after the baby is born. I still need to know the answer to this question though. Thanks

It's called spotting more than an actual period, but yes, it can happen. It's not as heavy or as regular as a period, but it's something you'd still need a pad or whatever for. And eac pregnancy s different. So best bet, is to just have that DNA test when the child is born if you don't beleive that she hasn't slept with anyone sincce you've been seperated. And use simple math, too. Near the end when she's due; how long has it taken since she said she'd been pregnant? And how long had it been since you'd last had intercourse with her. That alone, can answer your question.

ok. yes it is possible to have your period during the 1st stages of pregnancy. if=n fact, some women go the whole pregnancy and still get their period but that being said if she didn't with previous pregnancies she may be lying.
I know you have already said it but get that DNA test done.
I would think that she'd be showing at least a little bit if she is that far along too. So I'd be watching for that and good luck. hope i helped.

yes it is possible for a woman to have her period and still be pregnant at the same time. Some woman can be pregnant up to 3-5 months and get a period. Sometime the period won't be heavy and sometimes it will. Find out her conception date and then u can determine if u could be the father

Go with her to the next dr's appointment and ask when the baby is due. You should be able to count back 9.5 months and figure it out. Sounds suspicious to me, but yes, you could indeed have a period while pregnant.ifshe is thatfar along, she should really be showing as well

Why don't you marry your girlfriend and stop acting like the dirt bag you're becoming! Listen, you've fathered one bastard child and now your are complaining about fathering the second. Give me a break. How about thinking about your children who are considered illegitimate for the rest of their lives and stop being so selfish. Moreover, the real help you are going to need is when these kids grow up and figure out what you and their mom did to them. They'll probably kick both your asses literally and figuratively. Get married, that's the answer to your question!

It's pretty easy because thanks to advances in genetics, you could do a DNA test based on baby cells as available in the mother's blood. Or else based on cells recovered from amniocentesis (the downside is that amniocentesis is not without risk).
Or else simply after birth, quick DNA test will show pretty easily whether the baby is yours or not.
Given all this, your girl friend would be a bit dumb to lie?
Good luck

you can have your period for a couple of months while pregnant, but its not super common. by now you should be able to see the baby on ultrasound and the doctor can pretty accurately determine conception date and delivery date. definitely do the dna before signing the birth certificate.
